It’s always a good idea to organize and prioritize your excuses for not being able to get stuff done for the day…
Excuses? When it comes to doing the laundry, making the bed, cooking dinner, vacuuming, ironing, grocery shopping, paying the bills, cleaning the house, dusting, and just about any other household chore, having an excuse why you CAN’T do it is the best! Even though I am just about one of the most organized, goal-oriented, driven, and go get-em type of people I know, I am also a huge procrastinator, especially when it comes to the above and I love nothing better than a good excuse not to do something. A couple days ago for Wordless Wednesday I posted several pictures of the gang “letting it all hang out.” It consisted of them in various stages of relaxation with their adorable bodies hanging off one of our cat condos as well as the kitchen counter. It also showcased a picture of Zoey looking her ever dignified self, as she refuses to partake in such crude behavior. Conspicuously missing was Harley as some of you pointed out in the comments. The early days… back when all four of Zee and Zoey’s kittens lived with us – at this point they did not have permanent names and we could barely tell them apart.
Once upon a time for 4 little kittens, hanging out consisted of a very orderly world with a floor and 4 walls. And then one day at approximately 8 weeks of age, the floodgates of the bedroom door opened up and a whole new world existed. One that was tall and could be climbed. While we don’t have the double-digit minus degree temperatures that some of you have been experiencing across the country the past couple of weeks, we have still felt the effects of the Polar Vortex in South Florida with temperatures occasionally dipping into the forties at night. Now granted that might seem like a heat wave to some of you and I’m not looking for a woe is me violin, but it is all relative – when you are used to warmer temperatures and they suddenly dip, cold is cold.
