When Jazmine came into our lives back in March of 2014, she was already on the path to becoming a full-fledged diva cat. Just look at that face – spunk, attitude, and confidence all rolled into one sweet kitty!

When you have a cat that came to you as a diva, when that said cat has a birthday, an ordinary blog post simply won’t do. Diva cats require celebrity treatment – perks, pampering, treats, adoration, and more. No quickie birthday card made from any old picture, with the words “Happy Birthday” hastily scrawled on it. No, it must be done right. A photo shoot with top notch photographers, lighting people,  and makeup artists to make sure the card is of the utmost taste and style. Okay. Time for a little levity… Life has been far too serious of late, so this week’s focus for Wordless Wednesday is funny “oops” photobomb moments – in this case, funny “oops there’s a cat in my photo,” photobomb! This was supposed to be a photo of an edible arrangement gift my daughter-in-law sent me last year for my birthday – I wanted to send it to her to let her know I got the gift. Cats in the picture? What cats?

This picture was taken in 2010 when Harley was still with us. Mia was supposed to be the focus of the picture, but Harley decided a “let it all hang out, inappropriate pose” was far more entertaining!

This classic picture was from a fun meme I did as a parody of the “I’ve fallen but I can’t get up” commercial… Seems to be classic, because it also perfectly showcases what a goof Zee is as he photobombs the other kitties looking out the window!

I thought this was a picture of me at my computer… Mia says otherwise… Hello kitty!

Last but not least, who say’s photobombs have to be funny? As Mia crosses Zee’s path, she proves that photobombing can be beautiful and elegant…

For years this has been Mia’s sentiment when company dares to come visit…

Years ago when Dan and I would have house guests, the cats would react with typical feline horror and disdain. You know what I mean – once the thud of the suitcases hit the floor, several of the cats would take instant residence under the nearest bed. A few others would high-tail it up to the tallest spot in the house to glare at said house guests from a safe distance, and some would bravely walk among the strange new humans, with a cautious “you can look at me, just don’t touch” attitude. I am back from taking a couple days off from work so I could spend some time with my step-daughter, Crystal, who was visiting from Boston. It was great having the time off, aside from the fact that the work doesn’t do itself while I am away. I was greeted to a cheery mountain of paperwork a mile high at the beginning of this week, just waiting for my return. Needless to say, playing catch up in the fast paced world we live in is stressful to say the least! That’s why I decided on a Semi-Wordless Wednesday post for today and somehow this quote by author, Roseanne Amberson, just seemed to sum it up perfectly!

As a point of interest, Roseanne Amberson is the author of the book, “Raising Your Cat,” that was published in 1969. Has anyone ever read this book? It would be interesting to see what has, and has not, changed over the years.
