Editors Note: I decided to abandon my usual Caturday post, and instead participate in the super fun and wildly popular Sunday Selfie Blog Hop that was created by the talented Janet Blue of The Cat on My Head. Rather than be a traditional selfie post, I’m sharing some recent pictures I have taken (many of which some of you have already seen). There are good and bad, winners and losers -take a look to see what I mean and I’d love your opinions, insight, and suggestions as to what works for you with your cameras!  

My obsession with picture taking started when I saw Rolz grooming his sister, Mia. The look of pure contentment and adoration just radiated from her sweet little face and I knew I had to try to capture it for eternity. Camera: iPhone 4

So now that I’m home all day and night with the cats, I find that I’m drawn to them more so than ever. EVERYTHING they do fascinates me and I’m constantly feeling the need to photograph them as if I am under some sort of hypnotic spell to do so.

This is all well and good… except for the one glaring flaw to the whole equation… I DON’T TAKE GOOD PICTURES. Or I should say, with the current technology at my disposal, I am unable to manage my cameras to take good pictures. Read more

It’s that crazy time of the year when we set our clocks back by an hour so that it’s nearly pitch dark by the time lunch rolls around… Maybe it’s just me, but psychologically, it really messes with my mind and can be a bit depressing. Not to mention, I always forget to change the clock on my car, so I never really quite know what time it is when I drive…

Luckily my cats have no problem with the time change – regardless of what day of the year it is, they always know when to come wake me up in the morning for breakfast and they always know when it is time for dinner!

Peanut is our official ambassador of “I’ll go get mom and drag her away from the computer so she will come and feed us all”

How do you all feel about the time change? Is it just another day for you, or do you feel the affects of it getting dark earlier in the evening? Do your cats react differently?

Frightening, huh? Wasn’t Christmas just a couple of months ago? It sure seems that way! Sigh… the older you get, the quicker time really goes!

Anyhow, have a great Wednesday everyone and enjoy each and every minute you have… even the annoying ones, like standing in the wrong line at the grocery store, or the boring ones, like when you’re at the bottom of your “procrastination pile” and are resigned to doing something you really hate, like filing old paperwork. Those minutes – from the good to the bad – are all we get… oh, and while you’re at it, hug a cat… that’s always time well spent!

Already lady… enough with the Facebook… and Instagram… and the blog… and emails… and Twitter… and anything else you can procrastinate with! Time to find a job! Am I making myself clear?

*Yawn* How long is this going to take? A cat’s gotta eat and nap, ya know…

This is exhausting… what is the problem, lady? You just applied for a job a minute ago that was purrfect for you – how come they didn’t call you yet?

Clearly I’ve done everything I can… Can we please focus back on me again… Being cute is a 24/7 job around here!

Sigh… thanks Jazmine! But I can’t argue with your logic – being cute is a 24/7 job and thank goodness you will never be in jeopardy of being let go like I was! Sorry I couldn’t find a job in less than 10 minutes… I promise I’ll keep trying!

Sidenote – Yes… I’m still looking for a job. But with a helper like Jazmine and the love and support of all of you and the rest of my feline gang, family, and friends, it’s not so bad. Thank you all again for your kindness over the past couple of weeks – I couldn’t get through it without you!
