Frightening, huh? Wasn’t Christmas just a couple of months ago? It sure seems that way! Sigh… the older you get, the quicker time really goes!

Anyhow, have a great Wednesday everyone and enjoy each and every minute you have… even the annoying ones, like standing in the wrong line at the grocery store, or the boring ones, like when you’re at the bottom of your “procrastination pile” and are resigned to doing something you really hate, like filing old paperwork. Those minutes – from the good to the bad – are all we get… oh, and while you’re at it, hug a cat… that’s always time well spent!

*Yawn* How long is this going to take? A cat’s gotta eat and nap, ya know…

This is exhausting… what is the problem, lady? You just applied for a job a minute ago that was purrfect for you – how come they didn’t call you yet?

Clearly I’ve done everything I can… Can we please focus back on me again… Being cute is a 24/7 job around here!

Sigh… thanks Jazmine! But I can’t argue with your logic – being cute is a 24/7 job and thank goodness you will never be in jeopardy of being let go like I was! Sorry I couldn’t find a job in less than 10 minutes… I promise I’ll keep trying!

Sidenote – Yes… I’m still looking for a job. But with a helper like Jazmine and the love and support of all of you and the rest of my feline gang, family, and friends, it’s not so bad. Thank you all again for your kindness over the past couple of weeks – I couldn’t get through it without you!

Well, once again I have been presented with a new chapter in my life. At 55 years of age, I must admit this one was not one I had particularly hoped for, but as they say, “it is what it is” and there’s nothing I can do about it except move on. Briefly, my day job, the one that helps keep the household running, is no longer to be. I was put in the proverbial, “it’s not you, you’re an awesome employee and extremely valuable, but we need to let you go because we are downsizing and you are no longer relevant to our company” scenario.
