Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and sorry for having a Halloween post up for so long! I am dreadfully behind in my blogging and promise once I get settled in that I will put together a nice post with lots of great pictures to recap the Cat Writers’ Conference. It was an incredible event and I’ve got wonderful news to share, but right now my brain feels a bit like jello…

Anyhow, not all is lost… I have a super fun, exclusive post that I did for Catster that I am thrilled to share with you that delves into the subject of weird cat habits… Intrigued? You should be. I know your cat has weird habits… don’t they all? And my little Mia has a habit so bizarre that it just has to been seen to be believed. Click here to visit Catster to see for yourself and I’ll be back soon!

Sweet-and-shy-Mia

Just look at this darling face… what weird habit could Mia possibly have?

Happy Meow-O-Ween All!

Here it is Halloween and I’m at the Cat Writers’ Conference in Irving, Texas with my fellow talented cat loving friends and mentors. Maybe that’s what has Peanut so spooked – she just found out I won’t be home until Sunday afternoon and I’ll be taking a blogging break this weekend! Oh well, I’m sure the cat swag I bring home will more than make up for it all! Have a great Halloween everyone – be safe and see you next week when I fill you in on all the kitty scoop from the Conference!

Tour de Cats – Suitcase Edition

Today’s Tour de Cats for Wordless Wednesday is aptly dedicated to suitcases as I begin packing to go to the Cat Writers Conference in Irving, Texas where I will be this Thursday – Sunday. Sure, sometimes a suitcase can signify bad things to a cat because it means the human will be going out of town, but for a brief moment in time, it also means new things to explore and nap on and in! How about you kitties do you like suitcases to nap and hide in or do you just run away when you see one? Read more

I went to a CFA Cat Show last weekend with proceeds of the show going to the nonprofit, Cats Exclusive (I am seen here with Chelsea of Cats Exclusive). The best part about the show was despite the wide mix of venue from pedigree to rescue cats, we all share a common love for these animals.

When one becomes immersed into the world of cat blogging the source of opinions, information, and topics to discuss are endless. We debate food and diet, vaccinations, letting cats outdoors, spay/neuter, cat breeding, and so much more. Some of us have strong opinions without wiggle room, some of us are still learning and a bit more neutral, and some of us just prefer to stay out of it all and post cute pictures of kitties that do not invite a wide berth of commentary. Tour de Cats – Pedestal Edition

Pedastal-1

Lovely models Peanut and Mia on our pedestal…

Dan and I firmly believe that all cats should be put on a pedestal and there is no doubt whatsoever that our cats are put on the highest one possible as we cater to their every whim, need, and desire. But we don’t just mean it in a figurative sense, we also mean it literally as you are about to see in today’s Tour de Cats because in our house, the pedestal we speak of was originally used as a decorative piece (foolish us) with a lovely candelabra gracing the top of it… that is, until the candles all came crashing to the floor (several times) and foolish us finally realized the cats had decided it was time to redecorate Zee/Zoey style. Do we ever learn?
