Inspiration & Happiness

Cats, Naps, and Sunday…

A whole lotta Jazmine love and wisdom for this Sunday!

I don’t have the time for it, nor do I need another hobby, but sometimes I wish I could take professional quality photos with a professional camera. This image is of my lovely Jazmine that I took with my iPhone that would have been particularly stunning with the right camera. She’s been hanging out with me a lot lately – this is her on the shelf above my computer and I was able to capture her fawning down on me. She’s quite the flirt when she does that – she makes biscuits into the air while purring a love song and it’s about one of the most heart-melting things on this earth.

As always, she serves as a wonderful reminder for Sunday to relax, enjoy your cats, and maybe even take a nap! I know Jazmine will be doing that for sure!

Have a great day everyone!

Becoming One With the World for Sunday Selfie

Believe it or not, there is a cat in this photo!

And just like that, the cat becomes one with her world. All is calm all is good. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday – may your day be as peaceful and comforting as the one Zoey is having (if you can find her!).

Much Gratitude and Joy for a Simple, Peaceful, and Easy Sunday

The past several weeks have been quite difficult, but I’m grateful to say life is good. My eyesight is less blurry than it has been and it’s just nice to be up and about, even if up and about means doing things like laundry and cooking dinner.

Nothing new to report here – I’m happy to share a wonderfully normal picture of Mia and Zoey sharing a lazy and peaceful day for this Sunday.

Happy Sunday – I hope everyone has a great day!

Red Light, Green Light – Cats, Books, and the Internet

It’s amazing how much trouble one little red dot can cause…

Last Friday at 3:54 p.m. while I was at work, I got a text from Dan informing me we had no internet, as someone had accidentally cut the cable wires in our neighborhood. He was told by AT&T, our provider, it would be fixed by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rather than get upset over something out of our control, I just took it with a grain of salt and resigned myself to a night of cable TV, as AT&T is our streaming provider and continuing to binge watch our new series of choice, Justified, would not be an option. May is National Pet Month: Why Pets are Good For Your Heart and Soul Year Round

As the Project Manager for the military department, I dig in – whether stepping in to help production on the floor – or managing tedious contracts and paperwork in my office to ensure all our orders get out on time.

I work for a manufacturing company, managing the shipment of products for our military department. It’s both a physically and mentally challenging job, with lots of critical deadlines that have to be met, and when I leave for the day I’m already exhausted. My drive home is stressful – the traffic crawls and the roads are not equipped for the heavy flow of drivers, meaning sometimes you have to wait for several light cycles to turn green before you can even move forward from one intersection to the next. My point being, I’m completely drained by the time I walk in the door and all I want to do is grab a glass of wine and put on my comfy sweatpants. Read more
