Easy Like Sunday Morning Every Day of the Week
No one in our house does “Easy Like Sunday Morning” better than Jazmine. Actually, she does it best Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning as well. When that girl is out, she’s out! Anyhow, taking a cue from her, I’m looking forward to an easy-going kind of day myself. Maybe visiting a wetlands nature park with Dan so he can practice with his new camera taking pictures of Florida wildlife. I’ll also be making a big batch of homemade macaroni and cheese so I’ll have several meals prepared in advance for the week ahead and I’ll be using up some over-ripe bananas to make bread as well. How about you all, what kind of easy-going plans do you have for today?

Jazmine, you and our Lily are two peas in a pod. That’s pretty much how she spends everyday as well, but then she is 18 years old. That is a magnificent floofy belly. Enjoy your easy. Sounds like you have some wonderful plans to choose from, and it’s great about the menu plans, too. I also like to make something in advance and have it for several nights. The banana bread sounds wonderful as I love it, but both of my attempts at making it were so bad they are notorious in the annals of my cooking life! I did make a several-course feast last night and have it for several more nights, which is nice because it’s hot and humid here, and the food is in keeping with that weather. We’re going to do our best to relax — I hear someone snoring in the cat tunnel across the room already! — and look forward to some good shows on PBS tonight.

After watching the Gentleman’s Finals at Wimbledon and working on the feral cats’s shelters, I actually lay down for a nap on Sunday afternoon. When some loud noise outside woke me up, I hadn’t a clue what day it was, what time is was, what was happening? I swear, I’m still sleepy from that even now, 24 hours later!

Sorry we are so late with this but thank you for your comforting words on the loss of our sweet Ellie. We are heartbroken.
