Zee and Zoey Join the Pre-Oscar Red Carpet Twitter Party to Help Animal Non-Profit Groups!

Well, these darn cats have done it again! I haven’t even been asked to visit our local TV station after living here almost 20 years, and my cats, just like that have been invited to walk the Academy Award Red Carpet! You heard it right, my cats, along with the cats of several other highly esteemed cat bloggers will be part of a live pre-Oscar Red Carpet Cat Twitter party with world famous cat, Gracey, of The Tiniest Tiger, and the Cat Daddy himself, Jackson Galaxy of My Cat From Hell!!

This is an incredible honor and we would just like to thank…. Opps sorry, that was our acceptance speech, didn’t mean to write that… Anyhow, Gracey is an amazing cat who has been working very hard for the past couple of years to raise much needed money for our big and small cat cousins in need. Her community motto is “Small Paws United Can Make a Big Difference” and she has raised over $30,000 to date!

Always thinking of more ways to help big and small cats out, an idea formed with her and her human to design a classy line of handbags with “feline finesse.” Well, when you are on the right path, according to Gracey, “The pieces started to fall into place,” and months later an email was received asking if she would be interested in participating in the Red Carpet Lounge Celebrity Gift Swag for the 2012 Academy Awards!!!

And that’s where we are today! The Red Carpet Lounge donates money to select animal non-profits and Gracey’s newly designed hipster bag is going to be filled to the brim with all kinds of cat related goodies that will be given out on Wednesday, February 22, from 5:30 – 7:30pm Pacific Time to the stars at a special Oscar celebrity gifting suite. And you all can join in the fun too for a chance to win one of these pawsome hipster bags as well as to dish gossip, Twitter style, with the all the feline and celebrity stars participating!

Just click this link for details on how to RSVP with your Twitter handle for a chance to tweet with Jackson, Gracey, and all the celebrity stars! Plus, you’ll be eligible for fantastic giveaways totaling $2800 every 10 minutes! If you can’t participate in the Twitter party, don’t fret – just leave a comment on our blog with your email and one lucky reader will have a randomly picked chance to win a hipster bag of  their very own!! Comments must be left by Saturday, February 25, midnight, EST, and the winner will be announced on Oscar Sunday the 26th!!! Good luck and hope to see you all on the Red Carpet!

Gotta run – Zoey is already trying on gowns and the Harry Winston jewels should arrive shortly! This is an event fit for the King and Queen that Zee and Zoey are and I really hope Joan Rivers will be kind to Zoey on her follow up E! Fashion Police Oscar edition!

It figures you have to tweet. The Woman so doesn’t not do that very well at all. In fact, she hasn’t checked her twitter accounts in forever. Sigh. Loser…

    • Deb says:

Chey – I’ll let you in on a secret, but you can’t tell ANYONE!! I don’t like Twitter either and I am really HORRIBLE at tweeting! I get lost in all the shuffle and just can’t keep up at all! But, at least you get a chance to win the cool hipster bag and we will fill you in on all the gossip!

  2. I’m with Cheysuli! Cannot get into the twitter groove at all! I’ve really tried lol. But the birdies don’t like it. As for tweeting on the red carpet? I dunno. Where does this carpet lead? Is it like the yellow brick road? Should I be worried about wicked witches and stuff? Where’s Toto? Is he tweeting? Or woofing? I’m so confused!

PS Gracey sounds like a sweet gal though 🙂 <3 <3

    • Deb says:

Well, well… Austin the Brave!! I like it! Excellent questions Austin – I will try to get to the bottom of this whole red carpet stuff – you kitties have a right to know the real story… I’m not very good at twitter either – by the time I catch on to what I am doing, the party will be over!

  3. Marg says:

Well we are also not very good at Twitter. I just don’t understand how people find each other. But it does look like a fun party. We might have to just try. Thanks for the info. Have a super day.

    • Deb says:

Marg – I’m an old fashioned girl – I like to communicate with actual sentences and real words, so Twitter is really awkward for me too!! I’ll give it a try though, it’s for a great cause!

  4. Bernadette says:

Our mom isn’t very good at Twittering either, she just lets everything go there automatically. Plus, she’s not home for a lot of tomorrow and we can’t get her on her mobile device because she doesn’t have one! So she’ll just comment on your post unless someone wants to explain to us so we can explain to her how this thing works. We don’t want to miss our chance on that hipster bag of stuff! What we couldn’t do with that! We’re sure there’s treats, probably some really special food, and Kelly can have the catnip toys, and Mimi can sleep in it!

  5. Bonnie says:

Hi don’t have a Twitter name, so I would like to sign up for a chance to win the bag please! It’s beautiful and it was so cute to watch your clowder investigate all the fun stuff! I know mine would do the same! Thanks so much!

    • Deb says:

Thank you so much for stopping by for a chance to win the hipster Bonnie! I am glad you enjoyed the video and I am sure your kitties will love the loot if they win!

    • Deb says:

Catopia – we are thrilled to have you on board. Zee and Zoey are concentrating heavily this year to help create public awareness on strays, ferals, and the huge need for spaying and neutering. It is wonderful that there are great organizations like yours to help these deserving cats out. We also have a wonderful book available too that is filled with all kinds of amazing pictures of the Zee/Zoey gang and a heartfelt and inspiring story!

  7. Doodle Bean says:

Hi! I love the crowns and hipster bag!!

  8. Deb says:

Ok, I attended the twitter party. First one, totally confused. Think I may have posted correctly to win a prize but not so sure. LOL. Maybe the next twitter party I will have more experience with twittering. Following your blog and facebook is more my speed.

    • Deb says:

Deb – I totally get where you are coming from, and rest assured, your comment is here safe and sound for you to have a chance to win the hipster! I attended the Twitter Party as well and it made my head spin – I can’t keep up it either, I get confused, and it quite frankly stresses me out!! But, it is for a good cause, so I tried my best! Thanks for following us on the blog and facebook! 🙂

  9. That bag rocks – our Mom had a blast at the party but was a little bummed cause she went home empty-handed (she SO wanted to surprise us with a few feline treats) – so, we thought we’d sneak over when she wasn’t looking and enter her in your contest for a chance to win this REALLY cool hipster! The good Lord knows, she needs a new bag! Maybe our “naughty” antics will be forgiven if we surprise her with a gift?

Meows and purrs to the hippest 7 in the blogosphere!

Legend & Tsunami @ Create With Joy

    • Deb says:

You were a pro at the party last night Ramona!! Me, ugg… I just can’t get used to Twitter!! Anyhow, I am certain that Legend and Tsunami will love the kitty loot and you will LOVE the bag! It is so adorable and just the right size when you want to run out of the house and carry a few key items instead of a huge, heavy purse! There are little kitties that are stiched on it, as if it is a quilt pattern and it is so cute!!

If you go on facebook, there is a video circulating of the hippest 7 as they open the hipster with me!!

      Good luck!
