Wordless Wednesday – Cats Without Rules…
Yup, you got it… counters, clutter, keys, and Kizmet. It’s a typical day in the life at our house as Kizmet lays claim to everything in his sight, as his casual extended paw of possessiveness shows.
My keys. My counter. My clutter. Oh, and not that it matters, but obviously this is a Photoshopped image. We would never allow any of our cats on the counter. Or the dining room table, or the couch, or our bed, or the coffee table, or the TV entertainment center, or… Never mind, clearly if you believe any of this, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you…

Being that Peanut and Mia are actually reading my blog, how could I in all good consciousness kick them off the dining room table?

Mia and Peanut sleeping together on our bed in a heart shape. I think there are strict “no kicking the cats off the bed” rules for something as endearing as this…

Zee is such a regal and stunning creature that he simply must grace our coffee table as a treasured work of art.

Rolz so perfectly emulates a cat sculpture that one would not even realize he is residing on the TV entertainment center…
What about your house? Do you have strict “no cats allowed here” rules, or, like us, are you a bit more relaxed with where you let your cats hang out?
Sammy hangs where he wants to hang……he’s never hopped up on a table or counter though for some unknown reason – loves laps and soft furniture wherever he finds them though! Rules?? What rules!!! Not here……the only thing that rules ’round here is Sam!
Hugs, Pam (and Sam)
Gorgeous photos! I LOVE the ones of Zee and Rolz and I recognize Kizmet’s “paw of possessiveness”!
Wow, what a cool bunch, and , no way are they moving ANYWHERE MOL!!!
Your photos are always wonderful, but today, you’ve outdone yourself! Love the smile on Kizmet’s face, and the Mia and Peanut heart is a Valentine’s Day card in the making. What a nice way to start my day!

Cat??? What cat?? lol
*mumble mumble mumble* What? But you said it’s Wordless Wednesday!!!!
rule?? pffttt….. we go where we want, when we want. Mom tries to save the sofa with a cover on it but as to the counters, she says that is what bleach wipes are for MOL
Kizmet has the most adorable and expressive face. We just love seeing him. The humans would like to have some rules around here, and one time when there were fewer of us, they did. They still try to keep paws off their placemats, but we try to gang up on them so they don’t know who to reprimand or remove first. The only way to keep us from something is to close off that area. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
My cats rule the roost. I gave up a long time ago. LOL. Your kitties are so beautiful.
Moosey is pretty much allowed everywhere but the kitchen counter. And for whatever reason, he never trues to go up there (as far as we know, MOL). 🙂
MOL! The mom has tried to keep us off of things like the counters and table…but she has given up. The only time we’re not allowed up there is when food is being prepared or the peeps are eating. But don’t think we don’t try. 😉
They are all gorgeous photos! Flynn is not allowed on kitchen work tops and never attempts to go up there. Anywhere else is fair game.
Oh, Kizmet, who could say no to that face? You can be on the counter! You can have the keys! Anything you want.
Of the three of us, only Newton gets up on counters, but no other surface is safe from us.
Deb, I so needed a laugh today and got it when I read you Photoshopped Kizmet on the counter! Priceless! My three hang out wherever they feel is most comfortable for them. I really have no problems with them on the counter or furniture. My problem is when they are sleeping on or next to me trying to determine the appropriate amount of time I need to wait before disturbing them because I have to get up. Nothing like the glare from a disturbed sleeping cat because I had to get up to go to the bathroom!!
It is hot here in Wisconsin, my big Orange Norwegian Forest Cat, George-A loves to lay on top of the dining room table in front of the window A/C. Our three year old grandson from San Francisco visited last night and asked George-A “What do you think you are doing on the table?” his cats are obviously not allowed on the tables. Love your cats!!!
There are rules at your house: the ones the cats make. 😉
There are a few places the cats aren’t allowed around my apartment, and we’re strict about enforcing that if we catch any feline violators.
You take such great pictures!
I have one room that the cats and dog are not allowed in. That’s where I keep most of my houseplants in the winter (right now they’re outside enjoying the triple digit weather). My sewing machine is also in there. And later in the winter I use that room to start my seeds.
I do allow them in there once in awhile if I am able to closely supervise them and usually just one at a time. So I guess, no, I don’t have any places where the cats (or dog) are prohibited. 🙂
Yeah right!! lol
Austin is really quite well behaved and stays off the counter mostly – in my presence, anyway! And he doesn’t go on the bed unless “his” blanket is laid out over it. Every now and again he insists I open a cupboard for him to inspect, but that is part of his remit anyway!! 😉
The only rules in our house are the ones the cats make!
