Woof!! It’s Caturday!

Editors Note: It’s been a while since we’ve had a post from our favorite guest blogger –  Zee and Zoey’s son – Zeuss Catt from Boston. He decides to critique a toy that is very popular in the canine world…. regrettably, he does not give it a full “paws up” of approval. He does know he is a cat, right?

Woof

by Zeuss Catt

One of the humans brought home a very strange toy. It was presented to me while I was lounging upstairs in my room, and I must write that I’m not impressed. This particular toy is called a woof.

I’d always wanted to try out a “dog toy”, and you won’t find a more classic “dog toy” than the woof. It’s blue and has a comically weird shape. “How weird is this shape,” you ask?  Think “cartoon-bone” weird, and did I mention that it’s blue? When you squeeze it, the woof makes a loud, shrill squeak, although not usually for a prolonged amount of time. At least, not while I played with it. The human seemed to love making the woof squeak, and waving this odd object in my face. Read more

Wordless Wednesday… Back to Normal

by Deb at 8:30 AM • Wordless Wednesday8 Comments

Ah… life is blessedly back to normal for Zee… no more campaigning for the Petties and no more vacation time whereby his human Mom and Dad abandoned him to travel across Florida. Sigh… it’s good to be a cat!

Petties 2011 Awards – July 29th – Last Day to Vote!

Zee and Zoey thank everyone for all of their support for the Petties 2011 Awards

Well, it’s finally here – July 29th – the final day to vote for Zee and Zoey in the category of “Best Designed Blog” for the Petties 2011 Awards. It’s been a long month of campaigning and Zee and Zoey thank each and every one of you for all of your support. We are hopeful that we will be able to present the Cat Network with the $1000 donation, but, win or lose, we still feel like we have won. We have met so many wonderful new friends along the way and learned so much about our cause – educating people on the critical need to have cats spayed and neutered to help stop the epidemic of cat overpopulation.

We did a three part series on this topic and if you have not had a chance to read these heartfelt and informative posts, I hope you will. I know they have changed my life with what I have learned, and I think it will change yours as well:

Thank you again and hope to see you at BlogPaws soon!!

July 27, 2011 – Video Clip – Deb’s Interview with Nick Sacco of Pet Talk Radio

Nick with one of his cats, Katie

Okay – Bless Nick Sacco of Pet Talk Radio for his bravery. I told him I had never done a radio interview before, but he still decided to have me on as a guest today! Overall, despite me being a newbie and the sound of my voice, I think it went well! I really had a blast and Nick is a fantastic guy! If you jump in at around the 13:20 mark, you can catch the interview as it starts. There were times when I had difficulty hearing him, so sometimes my answers might seem a bit odd!! Whew…. did it and survived to tell about it!!

Wordless Wednesday – Sea World and Discovery Cove – Deb Style!

Me swimming with Dash the Dolphin at Discovery Cove, Orlando

This bird felt I needed some company!

I just spent a couple glorious days with the family in Orlando – only thing, I really missed my kitties! I guess the residing Orlando animals sensed my mood – Dash the Dolphin gave me a lovely ride across the sparkling Discovery Cove Lagoon, a pretty bird decided my head was a perfect landing spot to keep me company, and we actually found the sweetest kitty living on the Sea World premises – she arrived a few weeks ago and is a Manx. Sea World staff assure me they are taking very good care of her. I know it made me miss home just a tiny bit less, having these amazing creatures around me!

One last reminder to vote for Zee and Zoey’s blog in the Petties Awards 2011 – the deadline is Friday, July 29th and don’t forget as well, I will be live on the air tomorrow at noon, EST, with author and radio personality, Nick Sacco, of Pet Talk Radio. Click for details.

Such a beautiful kitty... we were so surprised to find this feline friend at Sea World!
