Close-Up Cats for Wordless Wednesday

I thought as we all try to play catch-up from the craziness of the holidays and settle into the routine of the New Year, it would be nice just to take a mid-week break by doing nothing but looking at beautiful kitties for a moment. To help in that regard, I have selected a picture of each of my darling cats. All of these are recent photos that Dan has taken within the past couple of months and it’s just amazing how big they’ve all gotten…

Our gorgeous Jazmine – while she is a big girl, she’s not nearly as wide as the photo would suggest… it’s just the angle of the camera!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures – I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite, they are all so beautiful! Have a great day and wonderful rest of the week!

Within the course of 2014 there certainly was good, happiness, and much to be thankful for in my life. There was also an abundance of hardship, emotional discourse and sadness and my heart goes out to every one that had similar circumstances, as I know I am certainly not alone in that regard.

What were the lessons learned from it all? More so than ever, I think for me it was the realization that life truly is finite and extremely fragile. Not that I didn’t know it before, but losing Jazz in 2013 and then Harley unexpectedly in 2014, those were life altering moments for me that have indelibly colored my perspective on everything I see and do. Ring in the New Year Feline Style – Whiskerslist Calendar Review and Giveaway!

Depositphotos_5613992_originalThere was a time, many moons ago when I had control of my life and knew what day of the week it was at all times. Morning, noon, and night came with regularity and I used a calendar to help me mark the passing of time. I always loved calendars (with pictures of cats, naturally) and would use them to jot down special milestones and then when the year would end, I would save the calendar amongst other precious mementos collected throughout the year like greeting cards, letters, and photos.
