Sunday-Selfie: Preparing for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Jazz for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Jazz was always in the hallway of the living room, looking at me before he’d jump up onto the couch to snuggle with me.

It’s almost too hard to comprehend, but my beloved Jazz has been gone nearly three years. He’s never left my heart, but recently I’ve felt him all around me in a very strong sense. I don’t know if it’s because his Rainbow Bridge anniversary is August 28th and that’s been in the back of my mind, or if it’s because lately I feel as if Jazmine is “sharing” him with me via herself. Sunday Selfie – Finding the Joy in Simple Moments

Mia and Peanut sharing some cuddle time!

This picture of Mia and Peanut was taken back in 2009. While I certainly had my share of setbacks back then, I often find myself yearning for those days when life seemed simpler. Everything is just so hectic and stressful nowadays. But for a cat, they seize the moment and take the time to relax. Wise lesson that I hope to learn one day…

I hope this Sunday will give you pause to relax. At the very least, I hope these pictures gave you a smile and a bit of happiness in your day!

5 paws up! Don’t miss this must read story by author, Kizmet the Cat, as he not only captures your imagination with his vivid imagery and compelling writing style, but changes your perspective on toy mice forevermore. Click to enlarge.

For Selfie-Sunday I thought I’d take a break from my own writing, and let Kizmet take the reins today. Hold on to your seats folks and get the tissues handy as he bares all and shares the story of his relationship he had with a toy mouse made out of rope.

Hope you enjoyed it – sure hope it was as riveting for you as it was for me… Happy Sunday!

Unbranded and Loving it – A Grateful Cat Lady!

No leopard. No cat ears. Just me in all my unbranded glory. Reflecting (and sweating) in the hot Florida sun about all I’m blessed for in my life.

Finally settled in after my hectic trip to Arizona a couple weeks ago for the BlogPaws/Cat Writers’ Association Conference, I received a phone call from fellow CWA member, Dusty Rainbolt. She had been a past president of the organization at one point, and I was now officially Vice-President, and she wanted to talk to me about my upcoming book project that she’s going to be a part of. Sounds impressive, huh? Read more

Help! Need Some Last Minute Submissions for Upcoming Cat-Related Book!

LastChance

Okay Peanut… I think everyone gets it… you need some help. No need to shout!

Wow! Hard to believe, but my upcoming book is finally starting to take shape! Focusing on the silly, odd, crazy, and weird things our cats do, the premise is simple—with over 70 million homeless cats living on the streets and in shelters in the U.S. alone, it’s my hope to bring attention to the public eye how wonderful cats are as pets to help increase adoptions. I want to bust the myth that they’re too aloof to make good pets, which is one of the reasons they are sometimes overlooked for adoption. Read more
