Psst… Hey, Over Here! Calling all Cats!!!!
Well here I am in this vast technological wonderland having to eat my words. I think it’s just one of those “things” when you get older – you fight change and wonder why we have to have the newest and best phones, computers, and gadgets when what we already have works just fine (at our house, we refer to it as the “Andy Rooney” complex). So, when facebook and twitter came out, I wanted nothing to do with it – why can’t people just pick up the phone or write a letter like we used to? Why do we have to broadcast our lives to the world? Does anyone really care what I just tweeted or what my “status” is?
Well, I don’t know about you, but I rarely, if ever, picked up the phone or bothered to write a letter to all the people I used to go to college and high school with, let alone long lost relatives. My Mom lives a half hour away, if that, and I can barely find the time to visit her… So, call it my mid-life crisis, but very recently, I felt compelled to reach out to people in my past and gave facebook a try. Alright. I’ll admit it. I’m a convert. I’m hooked and completely addicted. The reach out was amazing – I have re-connected with so many people that I never thought would be in my life again and it really feels great. Zee, Zoey, and Zeuss Catt were always on the bandwagon – they set up facebook and twitter accounts long before I did! Read more ![]()
If I’m Such a Cat Lover, Why am I in the Dog-House?
Are you one of those people that are at a loss when you visit family and friends for a few days and they are a house without cats? No? Just me? I am completely out of sorts when a house does not have cats. I already feel somewhat un-centered and off-balance without my feline family around me, so I always feel a bit more at ease in a home where I can “borrow” some feline attention. So, you can only imagine how I felt when I got the most amazing gift from my brother Dave, my Sister-in-Law Kathy, and my nieces and nephew, Kayla, Alison, and Alex to come visit them in Pennsylvania to celebrate Kayla’s sweet 16th birthday in combination with my 50th (we are true blue Libra’s with our birthdays just a couple days apart) – they flew me up this past weekend and treated me to some special “girl time” – shopping for a Homecoming dress for Kayla (which, by the way, we found the perfect dress and she looks absolutely stunningly gorgeous in it), helping Kayla practice driving (she did awesome) and a Broadway show in NYC with the whole gang– the Addams Family. Don’t get me wrong – I had a blast and it was incredible seeing the family, but there was not a single cat on the radar. Sigh… what to do for a cat-a-holic like me?
Introducing… Myself
I know what everybody is thinking as they read this: isn’t Zeuss a bit young to be posting on the internet? Will he be able to spell, and form words into sentences? Can he think and type in English? Can he type at all?
Yes, yes, oui, and yes. Read more ![]()
The “Boston Connection”

Since I have taken over the task of maintaining this blog, yes, Zee & Zoey continue to assert the “we can’t type,” “we can’t write,” blah, blah, blah excuse, I too have become as irresponsible as them. I will be leaving for a quick trip to visit my family in Pennsylvania and will be abandoning my post to hand off the responsibly to someone else a mere week after I started this whole blog!
