Okay – here it is a week after BlogPaws and I am finally getting around to a post to gab about this amazing event! I was waiting for the return of my camera so that I could share some pictures, but, guess what?? Here’s the funny part – now that I finally have the camera – not only did I take far LESS photos than I thought, but the majority of them that I did take were so TERRIBLE that I would not dare post any of them for fear of losing all of you as friends! So, without further ado, here we go!

Getting to BlogPaws was quite the ordeal – living in South Florida, I was already quite apprehensive about a trip that I was so excited to take just a few days previously. In Florida, 24/7 weather commentary about living in the “cone of death” can wear on your nerves and cause enormous stress even on a normal day. Then to find out Irene was heading up the east coast just in time to introduce herself in time for the conference, well, it really put a damper on my already frazzled spirits. Read more

Yeah, I get it, double take, right? Just who is this impostor in my house? Is it really true that I have clothes that are not leopard inspired? Ugg… I’m so embarassed to be seen in public like this!
When I say BlogPaws, Present and Past, what I really mean is present… as in lots and lots of presents!!! As you all know by now, my camera has had its own BlogPaws journey and has finally found its way home a couple of days ago thanks to Caren Gittleman of Cat Chat with Caren and Cody who was kind enough to send it to me. Well, when I opened the box, was I ever in for a BIG surprise!
Not only did Caren take the time to wrap my camera in industrial strength packing tape and bubble wrap to ensure its safe arrival, but she jammed the box to the rim with swag for the kitties!! Lots and lots of swag to the point I thought I was in the midst of a Petsmart holiday sale! Now mind you, my cats are already spoiled with kitty toys of every shape, make, and style you can imagine. Then, when I came home from BlogPaws last week and dumped all the cat loot I accumulated on the floor, their toy inventory became even more superfluous. But what Caren and Cody sent, wow, it just sent my kitty cats off the deep end with joy!!! Read more

HEY!! HEY!! I’m talking to you Peanut!! Wake up!

Ugg…. Clearly I was busy napping, annoying human Mom, but fine, I’ll go and see if your camera has arrived back from BlogPaws yet. Geez… it wasn’t my fault you left it there in a rush, but since I’m such a good girl, I’ll go check.
Okay… I’m back! It’s not here yet – if you would have just looked at the UPS tracking number that Caren from Cat Chat* sent you, you would see it is scheduled to arrive this AFTERNOON… She promised you would get it and she would never let you down!
Now, where was I? Ahh… back to my basket… sweet dreams all!

*For those of you who don’t know, human Mom accidently left her camera at BlogPaws as she left the conference early to avoid being stranded due to hurricane Irene. Caren of Cat Chat was kind enough to pick it up and send it back to our scatter-brained Mom!

Thanks to Hurricane Irene, I had to leave BlogPaws sooner than I anticipated. So much sooner, that I literally had minutes to pack and catch an early flight home. Due to my completely flustered state of mind, I left my camera at the hotel with all of my pictures for upcoming posts detailing the event. So much for being timely…
Zee has kindly agreed to be my plan “B” until my camera arrives (Caren Gittleman of Cat Chat was kind enough to pick up my camera for me and is mailing it to me) and has graciously allowed me to use a picture of him for Mancat Monday. Okay, I’m completely stretching the truth here…. he has no idea I am using this picture and I did not ask for his permission at all…
Anyhow, lets just roll with the punches and proceed as if all is normal! Happy Monday! Without further ado:
There is no doubt in our house that Zee is the King of the Castle and our favorite Monday Mancat. Showing he means business, Zee is sitting quite regally inside the top tier of his five-story kitty castle condo to reign over his kingdom. When you’re King of the Castle, the best vertical space in the house is always reserved for you!
See you all later this week after I get my camera with my take on the BlogPaws Conference!

Editors Note: By now, most of you know that Dan is not only my fiance, the photographer extraordinaire for the majority of the pictures on this blog, and human Dad to my seven kitties, but he is also a wonderful writer in his own right. Since I am currently at BlogPaws, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to re-post one of my favorite posts from the archives. This one just happens to be written by Dan as he shares one of his experiences from last fall. Enjoy!
Anyone who runs their own business as a sole proprietorship or partnership has no doubt experienced the process of structuring the business. Forming a new business as an LLC (Limited Liability Company) is a relatively quick, easy and inexpensive way for new business owners to operate a business with limited liability as well as additional benefits.
LLC’s are regulated by the statutes of the state where they are formed and in most cases you simply prepare and file LLC “articles of organization” with your state’s LLC filing office. Once you’ve done this, your LLC becomes a matter of public record, and ZeeZoey Partners LLC was a matter of PUBLIC RECORD, which opened the door to ANYONE and EVERYONE who wants to SELL your new business their merchant credit card services, office supplies, printing, and a barrage of other services. One of those other services is insurance. Read more
