In the world of independent self-publishing, there are numerous ways an author can manage the inventory and shipping of a book. To name a few – one can elect to Print on Demand or ship trough a warehouse and distribution fulfillment center. Some books are strictly electronic in format and some are sold directly through Amazon. Then there are those that take on the task from start to finish in the old fashioned brick and motor method, called putting your inventory in your spare bedroom or garage and packing and shipping them yourself with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears as daily trips are made to the post office. Editors Note: Ever since I have started Zee & Zoey’s blog, I have encouraged friends and family members to guest host. My Mom, Dan, Madalina (my friend and graphic designer of all things Zee/Zoey related), and my step-daughter, Crystal, have all posted. Now, it gives me great pleasure to present a post from my oldest son, Chris. The post came as a surprise birthday gift to me last week and was completely unsolicited. I read it with great interest and soon realized that the cat blogging world is not always filled with cutesy little stories of fluffy kittens scampering off to their next adventure. Cat stories range from happy, to sad, to heroic, to inspirational, to humorus and everything in-between. And then sometimes a cat writes its own story with its own destiny in mind as you will soon find out. Sure, we have our moments of stepping in hacked up hairballs, hissy fits, and shredded furniture in our house. But, for the most part, our little feline family really is something inspired out of a Disney movie! We literally have an entire cast of characters – each with their own charming and unique personalities, not unlike Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs…. oh dear, now I’ve gone and got myself thinking!! Anyhow, here’s our next installment of our “Tuesday Teasers,” as we videograph our fun-filled gang of four legged friends to a playful and whimsical music score!!
Like, love, hate, or indifferent – the recent changes facebook has been making have given me reason to pause and think through the eyes of my cats. It dawned on me, these creatures have been successfully social networking with complete sophistication and effectiveness for centuries with no interference or need to change their platform at all.
Point in case – In this first picture, you will see Zoey in “status mode.” She is preparing to comment that an event is about to occur and that everyone on her “friends list” should be on alert for an update. Read more
