Safely Homegroom Your Cat with the Scaredy Cut Grooming Kit

12-8piece-pink-cat-package_med_newAs a cat blogger I am frequently approached by companies asking me to review their pet products. While it is something I will do, I only do it when I feel I can approach the item with logic and integrity, which was the case when the people at Scaredy Cut reached out to me to review their Scaredy Cut home pet grooming kit.

The Scaredy Cut is a silent hair cutting and trimming scissor developed for both cats and dogs to make home grooming simple and easy without the anxiety and stress associated with loud and scary buzzing electric clippers or driving to the groomer for a trim. It uses the same comb system as electric clippers, but they are attached to ergonomically designed, barber professional scissors for ease of cutting. When I initially agreed to the review, it was with the intention of using them on Jazz, my long haired Ragdoll, who was increasingly becoming more matted and tangled by the day and the tool looked like a Godsend to shorten the length of his long hair to keep it more manageable. Zoey, Mia, Rolz, Harley, and Peanut are all short haired with no grooming needs, other than some light maintenance brushing, and while Zee and Kizmet do have long hair, it is relatively tangle-free, and with regular brushing, they do not need trims.  Read more

Not sure how THAT happened says the lady in cat ears, but this is called branding and because so many people think of me in those terms, I get a lot of fun emails and Facebook shares sent to me with stuff that instantly reminds people of me, the brand! Cat Compulsions – Red Light/Green Light

by Deb at 5:50 AM • Uncategorized31 Comments

What is it about cats that they cannot control the urge to chase the red dot from a laser pen? As you well know, if a cat doesn’t want to do something, they won’t. But yet, take the laser pen out and they will wake from a deep sleep or stop whatever they are doing to chase that dot – almost like when a light changes from yellow to green and it’s full speed ahead, all systems go! Even the laziest cat on earth, our Miss Harley is powerless to the spell of the laser pen and is unable to NOT try to capture this elusive red monster. Read more
