Keep Your Enemies Close…
Over the past few months, I’ve made a lot of friends. Most of these friends are humans, who I seem to always get along with.
I also have made a few animal friends, like Sandy the neighborhood dog / nomad…
I guess it’s obvious why I have a lot of friends, but you might be surprised to learn that I have a few enemies as well.
It’s true!
“How can a 20 month-old cat have enemies?”, you may ask. Well, that’s your answer right there…
I’M A CAT… and cats have enemies, both natural and learned. Makes sense, right? So, I’d like to write about two of my enemies- to give them some bad publicity. Perhaps it’s petty, or a bit… catty? I agree:)
Since the day I arrived in Boston, I have had two enemies. The first nemesis I’ll mention is the Crowe. This Crowe lives in the same house as I do, but I rarely see him. When he does come out of hiding, he’s soooooo annoying and loud. This Crowe sometimes comes into my loft and invades my space! Other times I’ll hear him cawing from the next room, and when I go to investigate I’ll find the Crowe acting load and annoying, just picking a fight. And fight we do…
As you can see, the Crowe is no match for me. Yet, he’s persistent, and always up for a fight. I’m sure he’ll continue to antagonize me until I finally chase him off for good.
Do Crowes fly south for the winter?
My second nemesis is who the humans refer to as “vacuum”, or vacuum cleaner. This machine/robot/beast is even louder than the Crowe, and nearly as bothersome. Vacuum appears every few days, loudly storming through the house doing who-knows-what. What purpose does this loud creature serve, other than to annoy? Anyway, I’m not afraid of Vacuum, and I let him know this recently as it went about it’s troublesome pursuit.
Neither the Crowe nor the vacuum seem to understand that I mean business, so the attacks will continue. The humans tend to find it amusing when I fight, but they always take my side, and I appreciate that. It’s another reason that I like humans so much, on top of procuring my food and drink. As long as the humans seem to approve, I’ll continue to protect them from our enemies!
Til next time, thanks for reading!

Hilarious post and especially the vacuum video!! You must be one of the coolest cats I’ve ever seen. But wait – Zeuss, are you sure you are a cat, and not a dog in a cat’s skin?
What an enjoyable post, and an extraordinary cat!.
Thanks for sharing Zeuss!
