Happy 9th Birthday to my sweet Rolz, Mia, and Peanut!

Happy Birthday to my darling babies! I can’t believe nine years ago, around 4:30 in the morning, your mama Zoey came to get me out of bed to let me know she was getting ready to give birth. Two of you were actually born on my lap (that’s how much your mama loved and trusted me) and two of you were born in the birthing room we set up in our bedroom closet for you.

We gave your brother, Zeuss Catt, to a family friend when he was just a kitten and he’s been happily living with him in Boston ever since. You guys stayed here (with your mama Zoey and papa Zee) and have filled our household with purrs, love, and companionship, as well as a few hisses and growls along the way. Time is flying by too quickly – I wish you could stay young forever, but I also love the big cats you’ve grown into.

Despite coming from the same parents and living in the same house their whole lives, and despite the similarity in their spotted pattern, Rolz, Mia, and Peanut couldn’t be more different from one another! This was them at about 12 weeks.

Noooooooooooooooooooo!!! Another year couldn’t have possibly flown by, but alas, it has! Seems like just yesterday I shared a post about Mia, Peanut, and Rolz turning 7, and now I’m sharing one to wish them a happy 8th birthday! So, without further adieu, Happy 8th Birthday to my precious, sweet darlings! Despite your adult age, you will always be kittens in my heart and I love you all so very much. I’ve watched you grow up – literally from the time you were in your mama Zoey’s belly, to now, where you’ve grown into such distinctly unique and wonderful beings. Read more

Really??!! Mia, Peanut, and Rolz are six today? How the heck did that happen? Didn’t they just have their 5th birthday a few months ago? That’s what it sure seems like. Wow… time just keeps flying by and there’s not a darn thing I can do about it! Read more

Shortly after we got Zee, we began a complete knock down, drag out renovation of our home. Zee was with us every step of the way and loved being part of the process!

Once upon a time, a long, long, long time ago in 2005, way before high quality photos and knowledge of the Internet and blogs, there was a kitten named Zee who was still so young that he had not yet grown into his full, fluffy mancoat. For the most part, he was a happy and content cat, sharing his days with his older feline family members, some boring humans, and a dog. Because he was an active and curious sort of fellow, eventually his older feline family members got tired of his bold and obnoxious kitten ways, the dog ignored him, and while the humans were well intentioned, they were no substitute for a cat’s company and he longed for a younger kitten  playmate to share his pent up energy with.

Today is a very special day – our darlings, Mia, Peanut, and Rolz turn four years old!! Please join us in celebrating the occasion as we share a picture from each year of their life. These kitties have filled our house and hearts with untold love and joy and we are so blessed for each moment with have with them! A toast to you all – we love you dearly and a special shout out to Zeuss Catt as well, the other sibling of the Zee/Zoey family who lives a pampered and happy life in Boston with a friend of ours!!
