Wordless Wednesday – The Very Serious Mystery of Bird Feathers on the Floor and Cats Licking Chops…

Umm…. seriously kitties, I’m an award winning blogger with an image to uphold and have been working my little butt off all week trying to educate people about some really serious stuff – the importance of spay/neuter for kittens and dispelling the over-sensationalized cat killing birds debate that has really put our free roaming and feral cat friends in a bad light. So, what am I to think when I see feathers… yes, feathers on the floor… and why is it you are all licking your chops? I told everyone that you are good kitties and that you have never killed a bird. I demand an explanation, pronto! This simply can’t be happening… what is the world to think of you all?

Wordless Wednesday – Cats in High Places

In our house of kitty kings, queens, princes, and princesses, there is always a cat in high places or put on a pedestal at one point or another… literally. Just look at some of these pictures to see for yourself!

I told you we put our cats on a pedestal…. seen here is our two little princesses, Peanut and Mia.

Wordless Wednesday – Double and Triple Vision!

We have eight cats in total, three of which are related by birth – Mia, Peanut, and Rolz. Yet sometimes our cats are so similar, related or not, that you would think we had trick mirrors in the house! I’ll let the pictures be the proof and let you be the judge!

This is Rolz, Mia, and Peanut at about 12 weeks of age – it was virtually impossible to tell them apart when they were little!

Even though Zee is the Papa of Mia, Peanut, and Rolz, Kizmet is such the spitting image of him, that you would think he was Zee’s kitten and not a rescue!! Notice the regal extended paw they both have!

Here is another shot of Kizmet and Zee – I just love the wide eyed look they share!

Zoey is the Mama of Mia, Peanut, and Rolz. Here she is with Mia who is the spitting image of her!

Kizmet looks more like the combination of Zee and Zoey than Mia, Peanut, and Rolz do! Here he is relaxing with his new brother, Rolz.

Who can resist a cat in a box? Kizmet and Peanut are just adorable as they pose for the camera!

Can you tell which of the siblings these are?

The beautiful colors of the cats, pillows, and afghan are so complimentary, that you would think all of these kitties came from the same litter!! Seen here is Mama Zoey, our rescue Harley, and Zoey’s daughter, Mia.

Mirror image – Zoey and Rolz.

Taking a break from all-day napping, seen here is Rolz on the left and Jazz on the right defending the world from evil cat toys!

P.S. For those of you wondering, the answer to the question is Mia and Rolz!

Watercolor and Whiskers Wordless Wednesday

Today’s Wordless Wednesday is sponsored by my favorite feline couple – Zee and Zoey. In the above image, Dan was able to take a photo of Zoey and translate it into such a beautiful work of art that it looks like a priceless watercolor painting. The other image is of our handsome Zee who has such glorious whiskers that it seems like you could touch them yourself!

As always, to see full beauty of photos, click to enlarge. Oh, and don’t you just love that little nose on Zee – it looks like a perfect heart that is just begging to be kissed!

Wordless Wednesday – Getting Back Into the Routine!

It’s funny – I have actually been taking it a bit more easy the past couple of weeks, but I still feel tired. I think it is a combination of that sad and melancholy feeling that often occurs after being with the kids for a week during the holidays, and then, just like that, the house is quiet and they are gone. I also had to go back to my administrative day job after several days off and must admit it was hard to get back into that routine when my mind was still at home daydreaming of kitties, blogging, taking down decorations and things of that nature!

Oh well, Kizmet has it right… we’re settling back into the routine, he’s got his naps fully under control, and it’s already Wednesday with the weekend only 2 days away!!
