Here is Kizmet from just a few weeks ago. Despite that Kizmet is an old soul, he is actually still a young cat and he and Jazmine are only a year and a few months apart in age.

With each day that goes by, it seems that time is passing quicker and quicker. I say this because in the process of writing Mr. Jazz’s story for my newest book, I am forced to reminisce and go down memory lane with more frequency as I revisit how each cat in my life came to be. It was an odd revelation – especially with Kizmet. Even though we only got him a year and a half ago, time has deluded me into thinking he has been part of our family forever because each and every day has become one big, fleeting, blurry passage of time that has gone by in the blink of an eye.

I truly don’t know where the days are going but I guess having Jazmine around has caused me to reflect about Kizmet even more because they are such good friends. This caused me to take another trip down memory lane as I spent some time looking at pictures of him when we first got him… Shocking news, but he actually was a tiny little kitten at one time! Hey! Rolz, Peanut, and Mia here! If you don’t mind, could we please have your attention?

Yes, you heard us…If you don’t mind, could we please have your attention and direct your eyes to our blog post?! Thanks! Now please don’t think that we’re complaining, well, actually we are, but we don’t want you to think we’re being overly catty… Anyhow, we kind of have a bone to pick with everyone. Well, not everyone, but human Mom at the very least. I mean, we get it…Yeah… we have a new kitten in the house and she is cute. But seriously, enough is enough Mom. We’re putting our paws down and asking for it to stop! Enough of Jazmine and enough of Jazmine with her perfect boyfriend, Kizmet. We are on picture overload of that cute crew and their touching love story… What about us? When we were younger, we were cute too! Just look at that picture of us in the window when we were about 2 months old – we were freakin’ adorable! And that’s not all – we’re hijacking the blog today to show you that not only were we cute as kittens, but we have grown up to be stunning cats! Well, in the blink of an eye, another year has gone by and my sweet Zoey is celebrating yet another birthday that seemed to come out of nowhere… It seemed like just yesterday my girl was a wee kitten that fit into the palm of my hand, yet here she is, all grown up… She is as young and beautiful as ever, but can’t time just slow down for a minute? Even though in the scheme of things, 6 is not really that old in cat years, time is still going by far too quickly for me!

But now is not the time for feeling melancholy – it is a time for celebration, so please join me in wishing my Diva, Queen Bee a Happy 6th Birthday! Bow to her grace and beauty and please feel free to shower her with gifts, treats, catnip, compliments, and lots and lots of money and jewelry!
