As you know, Jackie is here visiting us for a whole month this summer and one of our favorite activities that we like to do together is make cookies… Turns out that is one of Jazmine’s favorite activities too and we thought perhaps a “Cooking With Cats” show might be something we need to pitch to the networks. Lights, camera, action…

Before the cameras roll, prep work begins on the set as the actors get ready for the “mixing the cookie dough with a wooden spoon” scene.

And action… Don’t you just love it how Jazmine instinctively knows to pose and smile for the camera!!? Hey… wait a minute… how did Zee get in this shot? He wasn’t part of the script… Actors…

Oh happy dance of joy!! Jackie is here!! Jackie is here!! That’s right… human Dad’s youngest daughter is visiting us kitties FOR A WHOLE MONTH this summer and she is here now!!!!! She flew all the way down to Florida from Boston and we love, love, love when she comes to visit! We haven’t seen her since last year when she came to visit us for Christmas and we have missed her tons, even though we don’t like admitting it because it kind of blows our aloof and independent cover, but, the truth is, when Jackie is here everything is fun to the super, premium max!! This was a photo of Jazmine (L) taken at the Global Pet Expo and we immediately thought she was a Maine Coon like our handsome boy, Zee (R).

When Dan and I adopted Jazmine she was a former feral kitten and her paperwork coined her as a “DLH,” meaning that whoever rescued her determined her to be a domestic long-haired cat of mixed ancestry. Since her parentage is unknown, that is a fair assessment, but based on our own Maine Coon, Zee, we thought she was also a Maine Coon. Rolz checks out the surroundings… April showers, let alone May flowers have both been scarce in our backyard but as long as he can spot a lizard or two, all is good in his world!

They say April showers bring May flowers, but with June almost upon us, we have not had too much rain to speak of here in South Florida and our backyard does not have as many profuse blooms as we normally have at this time as a result. For the kitties, none of that matters. Going outside is the biggest treat we can give them and that reminded me of the first time we let Jazmine out a couple of months ago to experience her first backyard outdoor adventure. The experience was so similar to the first time we took her best friend buddy, Kizmet, outside for the first time that I thought it would be fun to share a photo montage of what it was like for the both of them for this Caturday’s edition at Zee and Zoey’s. While it was very nice to have a three-day weekend, the past several days have been emotionally tiring for me so I am quite happy to have a Wordless Wednesday upon us to share LOTS of great kitty pictures without having to worry about writing too may words! I was browsing through some of my pictures for inspiration and noticed a theme that fascinated me that I thought I would share – the symmetrical artistry that can sometimes happen as a result of having multi-cats hanging out together and the stunning mirror images they provide.
