An Interview With Marg’s Pets – Living With Feral Cats

I had known Marg of the popular blog, Marg’s Pets, in the background of my mind though the many cat blogs I was beginning to visit on a regular basis. Though each blog I frequented was unique, any comments left by Marg had one common theme – she was a humble and kind-hearted soul looking out for the welfare of animals, feral cats in particular. Everyone else also had a warm word for Marg and I soon began to develop a friendship with this humanitarian. Read more

In Celebration of National Cat Appreciation Month – The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey

I love the month of February. Not only is it Cat Appreciation Month, but February 14th is Valentine’s Day, which is the ultimate reminder to love someone. Actually, per the By-Laws of my house, every month is Cat Appreciation Month, but this got me to thinking that love comes in many different ways and not just the traditional romantic sense that you think of on Valentine’s Day. For me, my cats and what they give me emotionally and spiritually each and every day is the true essence of love and appreciation. I would much prefer to have Zoey snuggle on my lap than a box of chocolates. And while I do love a bouquet of roses, they only last for but a brief moment, unlike the endless entertainment I get watching my gang of seven zip playfully around the house. Read more

According to the Chinese Zodiac, this is the Year of the Dragon. Well, I happen to believe 2012 is the Year of the Cat. Almost out of the gate, the year began with a sense of positive energy and excitement as we cheered on our favorite Cat Behaviorist, Jackson Galaxy of “My Cat From Hell” to get people to watch Season 2 of his show. There is absolutely no doubt that due to the collective efforts of the cat blogging community, that we broadened his viewership base and therefore have helped to educate people about the positive ways of correcting problem behaviors in a cat so that they can peacefully and happily coexist in a human-feline environment. Turning the Exception to the Rule – My Interview With Jackson Galaxy of “My Cat From Hell”

“What I Did on My Winter Break” by Debbi Barnes (with the “i” in my name dotted with a heart). Remember those essays we had to write in class after winter break? If you had told me a couple of years ago that I would be sitting at home waiting for my phone to ring to interview a Hollywood Cat Behaviorist who had his own TV show, I would have thought you were nuts. Well, here it is, January 2nd, 2012 and I am sitting in front of my computer in my sweats, doing that very thing as I get ready to write about what I did on my winter break… Read more

Meowy Cat-Mas to One and All!

This is going to be an extra-special Christmas at our house this year so I wanted to wish all of you Happy Holidays early. I will be taking a few days off to celebrate the greatest gift of all – my family. My youngest son, Joe, who has not been home in several years will be here for the Holidays, as well as my oldest son, Chris, and my step-daughter, Crystal.  We don’t have anything spectacular planned – just your usual making cookies, driving around looking at holiday decorations, and playing board games. For me, it doesn’t get any better than that and I can honestly say that is all I want for Christmas!

From all of us at Zee & Zoey’s Chronicle Connection, we wish you the most blessed of holidays and thank you so much for being a part of our lives.

Love from Dan, Deb, Zee, Zoey, Mia, Peanut, Rolz, Harley, and Jazz
