Putting Pen to Paper – the Process of the Process

Me, crocheting on the couch – the kittens are approximately 6 months old – Mia stretched on my legs, Peanut snuggled by my knee, and Rolz sleeping by my hip

Although I’ve always enjoyed writing – you know – I was always the wacko who enjoyed essay questions instead of multiple choice, actually liked to research and write term papers, and have been the inherent “go to” girl when that perfect business letter or proposal had to be written at the office, I never really thought I would write a book. Psst… Hey, Over Here! Calling all Cats!!!!

Psst! Hey, You!

Well here I am in this vast technological wonderland having to eat my words. I think it’s just one of those “things” when you get older – you fight change and wonder why we have to have the newest and best phones, computers, and gadgets when what we already have works just fine (at our house, we refer to it as the “Andy Rooney” complex). Alright. I’ll admit it. I’m a convert. I’m hooked and completely addicted. The reach out was amazing – I have re-connected with so many people that I never thought would be in my life again and it really feels great. Zee, Zoey, and Zeuss Catt were always on the bandwagon – they set up facebook and twitter accounts long before I did! Read more

Hello my dear “Felinista’s!” Turns out once again, I have been tricked and manipulated by my sweet little conniving four-legged friends who are absolute brilliant geniuses. Apparently having no thumbs to type with translates to a carte blanche admission pass to taking advantage of me while reaping all the benefits of fame and glory at my expense. I told you last time that Zee & Zoey would be doing the talking. Well… Zee is sound asleep on the sofa and refuses to be disturbed and Zoey is in one of “her moods” (also asleep on the sofa) and does not want to be bothered with something so mundane and ordinary as a blog post.

Deb and her editing team as she prepares for her first blog post – everyone’s a critic!

As my fingers hit the first key, this, my dear readers is the precise moment my life changed from the ordinary to the extraordinary. For today, I invite you all into my world and ask you to join me in what is sure to be an amazing journey as we look into the world of two of my beloved cats – Zee, my gentle giant male Maine Coon, and Zoey, my wild child female Bengal who had a litter of kittens together and who were the inspiration for a book I wrote called “The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey – a Journey of the Extraordinarily Ordinary.” Read more
