My Strange Week, Day 3

Zee on the floor inspecting the packing supplies and Mia in the box.

Lovely, just lovely… I turn my back for one second and look what happened. All the mystery boxes that nobody seems to know anything about that I was going to return, have been OPENED by the cats and they have made a HUGE mess! Not to mention, they have been using my scissors again which I have told them over and over, they are not allowed to do…

They’re not even bothering to deny it at this point and are giving me the argument that they are cats, these are boxes, therefore they must be opened and jumped into. The need to climb in a box is a natural born instinct… Duh, and you call yourself an educated cat blogger, they seem to imply…

The ridiculous thing, they don’t even care what’s in the box. They have flung everything out onto the floor, just so they can do their “don’t I look cute sitting in an empty box thing.” (Yes)

Well, the damage is done. Now I have to keep the stuff and I am completely stressed out. It looks like nothing but cat items, which my spoiled cats need NONE of, so now I have to rack my brain to figure out what to do with it all – I’m claustrophobic enough as it is and I can barely get to my computer climbing over all this paraphernalia.

The cats are just staring at me with a bored look and are telling me to take a “chill pill.” Zee and Zoey claim that they will figure something out and take care of everything for me. Oh great, I feel so reassured now…  I can only imagine what trickery and magic they have up their little paws…

My Strange Week, Day 2

Okay, I’ll admit it. I had a serious problem years ago and was addicted to purchasing “must have” items such as sparkly fake diamonds and sandwich cooking grills from sites like QVC and HSN. Blah, blah, whatever. Some boring physological nonsense about needing to fill a void in my life. Anyhow, I’m much better now, thank you very much, and very rarely order anything anymore. An occasional piece of leopard clothing, but I think anyone would forgive that. Read more

I’m sure this is perfectly harmless, right? Just the cats watching a little TV… Nothing suspicious here…

Vacation Break!

The human keeps mentioning something about a “vacation,” but to us cats, it’s just another day in paradise…. Actually, that’s not true at all. The above photo is nothing but a made up dream sequence, because there has NEVER been a day the human has left us outside unsupervised. She gets really uptight and edgy – even with the fenced in yard, we are watched like hawks by her and the male human when they let us outside on occasion. I suppose the fact that some of us can get a bit overly adventurous might have something to do with it. They always claim they wish we would just settle down and relax and then they would let us out more, but hey, we’re cats and that’s just not how our DNA rolls… Take a look at what really happens! Zee & Zoey’s Chronicle Connection Blog Nominated for Two DogTime’s Pettie Awards

It’s been a whirlwind of awards lately and I’ll admit Zoey has been less gracious than I with her crushing Nose-to-Nose defeat at BlogPaws. I explained to her that all the winners are friends of ours and completely deserving. Plus, Halo food went to feed hungry kitties in shelters, so it is a win for cats no matter how you look at it. Zoey cared not one bit for my pep talk and when she found out Zee & Zoey’s Chronicle Connection had been nominated in two categories for a DogTime Pettie Award, she took matters into her own paws and quickly began to make some changes… Read more
