Sometimes it’s just best not to question things and go with the flow. For example, did you know today was Talk Like a Pirate Day? What? You’re kidding… you didn’t know either… Does Hallmark have a card for that?

Well, apparently it’s a pretty big deal in the blogoshere, especially for cats, so when in Rome… err, I mean when on treacherous high counter tops….Sigh… you know what I mean. Or not. Anyhow, on behalf of the day, go shiver some timbers, or Yo Ho Ho with a bottle of rum….

Grr….. we think Zee makes a lovely pirate and if you don’t agree, we will make you walk the plank…

Yup, you got it… counters, clutter, keys, and Kizmet. It’s a typical day in the life at our house as Kizmet lays claim to everything in his sight, as his casual extended paw of possessiveness shows.

My keys. My counter. My clutter.  Oh, and not that it matters, but obviously this is a Photoshopped image. We would never allow any of our cats on the counter. Or the dining room table, or the couch, or our bed, or the coffee table, or the TV entertainment center, or… Never mind, clearly if you believe any of this, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you…

Being that Peanut and Mia are actually reading my blog, how could I in all good consciousness kick them off the dining room table?

Alright… just look at that sweet face… Could you kick Peanut off the couch? I didn’t think so…

What about your house? Do you have strict “no cats allowed here” rules, or, like us, are you a bit more relaxed with where you let your cats hang out?

The kitties and I are so excited to report that we will be going on a mini vacation until Tuesday of next week because we have family coming to visit!! That’s right, Dan’s daughters, Crystal and Jackie, will be coming from Boston and that means a few well deserved days off!! Okay, maybe I am more excited than the cats, but once they realize that the world is not coming to an end and that they can maneuver all sorts of extra attention, loving, and playtime, all will be well!! As it is, they have all assumed their positions in the tiki and are looking forward to conning the girls that they are allowed outside, unsupervised. Which, they are not….

Hi All! It’s Zee, Zoey, Mia, Peanut, Rolz, Harley, Mr. Jazz, and Kizmet here! Besides loving the fact that our human does all of the blogging for us and we kitties get all the credit, we also love a lot of other things and thought we would share our Top 10 List of what they are today. Muahahaha – do you ever think your cats have turned into Dr. Evil when they become possessive of a toy or treats? Much as my gang love one another and get along quite famously, when it comes to certain toys there is just no room for sharing.
