Today’s Tour de Cats for Wordless Wednesday is aptly dedicated to suitcases as I begin packing to go to the Cat Writers Conference in Irving, Texas where I will be this Thursday – Sunday. Sure, sometimes a suitcase can signify bad things to a cat because it means the human will be going out of town, but for a brief moment in time, it also means new things to explore and nap on and in! Dan and I firmly believe that all cats should be put on a pedestal and there is no doubt whatsoever that our cats are put on the highest one possible as we cater to their every whim, need, and desire. But we don’t just mean it in a figurative sense, we also mean it literally as you are about to see in today’s Tour de Cats because in our house, the pedestal we speak of was originally used as a decorative piece (foolish us) with a lovely candelabra gracing the top of it… that is, until the candles all came crashing to the floor (several times) and foolish us finally realized the cats had decided it was time to redecorate Zee/Zoey style. Face it – the cats rule the roost and us humans are humbly allowed to share the abode with them. In that paw, I thought I would share a new series on Wordless Wednesday’s with you all that I call “Tour de Cats” where I will give you an exclusive, behind the scenes tour of the Zee/Zoey household each week with a special theme. I will begin the tour in grand style by focusing on one of the most popular areas of the house – the dining room table. What? Did you actually think I was going to give you a tour of the house? At Zee and Zoey’s we take cat crimes very seriously and in accordance with the FBI (Feline Bureau of Investigations) we will prosecute violators to the fullest extent of the laws of our household. Since we have yet to catch any of our cats in the act of doing anything wrong, we don’t know what that actually means, but we do like the stern and authoritative tone of what we are saying. Our first perpetrator is a crafty one indeed… if you have any information to help us catch this femme feline fatale, we would greatly appreciate your help.

Sometimes it’s just best not to question things and go with the flow. For example, did you know today was Talk Like a Pirate Day? What? You’re kidding… you didn’t know either… Does Hallmark have a card for that?

Well, apparently it’s a pretty big deal in the blogoshere, especially for cats, so when in Rome… err, I mean when on treacherous high counter tops….Sigh… you know what I mean. Or not. Anyhow, on behalf of the day, go shiver some timbers, or Yo Ho Ho with a bottle of rum….

Grr….. we think Zee makes a lovely pirate and if you don’t agree, we will make you walk the plank…
