Ring in the New Year Feline Style – Whiskerslist Calendar Review and Giveaway!

Depositphotos_5613992_originalThere was a time, many moons ago when I had control of my life and knew what day of the week it was at all times. Morning, noon, and night came with regularity and I used a calendar to help me mark the passing of time. I always loved calendars (with pictures of cats, naturally) and would use them to jot down special milestones and then when the year would end, I would save the calendar amongst other precious mementos collected throughout the year like greeting cards, letters, and photos. Blog Update and Words of Cat Wisdom from Jazmine

Memorandium-image1Hey everyone!! We had planned on having a great giveaway today for the holidays but something came up! We found out our server is going to be switched over the weekend and as a result, there could possibly be some technical hiccups with our blog, emails, and comment section along the way. To be fair and rather than worry about it, I decided to follow the lead of Jazmine, who basically told me to relax, calm down, and just reschedule the darn thing… Pretty good advice if you ask me… Not advice I am good at following, but good advice nonetheless. So, that said, paws crossed  we will be back up and running full swing next week and will have an awesome review and giveaway opportunity for you! Until then, enjoy the rest of your week and see you soon!

Sometimes With Cats, Love Hurts…

my-gang

Just look at these sweet faces!! These are my seven furbabies and I love them with all my heart even though sometimes it can hurt!

I obviously love my kitties my than words could possibly convey, but I gotta admit that sometimes loving them hurts. Such as when Peanut makes biscuits on my belly – sometimes she does it with such vigor that it nearly draws blood with her sharp claws and it rearranges my innards to the point I hear all kinds of weird gurgling noises coming from my stomach.

Or those times that one of the cats will use my head as a launching pad when I am  innocently sitting on the couch… this too can draw blood, or at the very least scare the heck out of me. And then, of course, the numerous times I fall as a result of tripping over one of them as they wind around my legs as I try to walk or the times I trip over a toy on the floor…

But there is no love more painful than that of trying to show someone(or somecat as the case may be) just how much you love them… Check it out to see what I mean… Read more

This is Waffles looking at his image on the Mike’s Harder can for “Mad Kitty Cocktail.” If you haven’t tried it out you should… it’s similar to a glass of spiked apple cider and would be a great cocktail to serve for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Photo by Glogirly.com.

In continuing coverage of my BarkWorld/MeowWorld Cat Writers’ Conference experience, one of the more entertaining moments was finally meeting bona-fide cat celebrity, Waffles. Waffles was on site with his human, Debbie Glovatsky (aka Glogirly) to host a party in his honor as a result of him being chosen to be the feline spokes face for Mike’s Harder Lemonade “Mad Kitty Cocktail.” Read more

When Cats Do Blog Posts…

Zee-Jazmine

“Hey Jazmine,” says Zee. “Wake up, I need a favor from you!”

Hi y’all! Jazmine here! Zee just came to tell me that human Mom has a migraine and that I gotta wise up and do today’s blog post for her as a favor to him. Apparently a migraine makes Mom really grumpy which makes Zee grumpy too because he doesn’t like to see Mom suffering. He says that according to Mom, a migraine feels like having a crowbar inside your head, splitting it in half. Yikes… that doesn’t sound too nice at all and since she does feed us and scoop our litter, I guess filling in for her is the least I can do. I’m just gonna grab Mia and Rolz for some help since I’m kinda new to this blogging thing… Read more
