When the Best Intentions of Caturday Stray….
Remember that Calgon commercial? You know, the one where the lady is frazzled beyond believe and just wants a luxurious bubble bath to take away all her worries and stress. That’s where I am right now… I had planned a wonderfully reflective post for today. Only thing, as of 4:00 pm, I hadn’t written it yet. I still had to go grocery shopping, feed the cats, make dinner, answer a string of emails, deal with a bunch of favors and stuff I had promised to do for other people, tend to cat related committee issues, and a whole bunch of whatever else mind-boggling stuff that adds up to one giant sigh of “oh-my-goodness-I-will-never-get-everything-done-today-I-need-glass-of-wine-to-unwind.”
Life people. Life is getting in the way of my life! The brilliant post (I’m taking creative liberty here) I was going to write, now sits in the back recesses of my mind and instead for Caturday all I can muster up is a brief recap of what’s going on in the world of Deb and the Zee/Zoey family.
Somehow I think you all can relate. Am I right? Any of you feeling like there are not enough hours in the day? Hmmm…. What’s that? A unanimous raise of paws! Just what I thought…. Together, let’s all take a deep breath and do what our cats would do. Chill. And then chill some more!
Enjoy the photos and I promise one day soon that I will be back in full control of mind, body, and spirit… until then… have a lovely weekend! Oh, and lest anyone think I am complaining, I truly, truly, truly am not. I love my life and I am very blessed. I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, other than the regret of never learning ballroom dancing… I always wanted to do that….
P.S. I plan on doing a detailed post all about Purr Prints of the Heart soon, but if you would like to take an early peek at the book, it is available on Amazon – click here for details.

Last Sunday was Easter and I celebrated the day with Rick and family. I wouldn’t change it for the world (or would Rolz who enjoys Rick’s company far more than he would care to admit) but the holiday’s do set me back a bit time wise!

My advance copies for Purr Prints of the Heart came early in the week and I spent the next few evenings after that (after coming home from work) signing copies and getting them sent out to people who had provided endorsements and will be doing reviews.
Busy humans ! We know it here too… Happy belated Birthday sweet Zoey ! We wish you a wonderful day ! Purrs
I hope you can find some time to step away from being busy and be more like a cat this weekend!
Happy Birthday Zoey! I am sure you will forgive your Mom- as long as you get some extra treats and nip.
Happy Belated Birthday beautiful, sweet Zoey! Please forgive Mom, she is only human, you know … !!! They do tend to forget important things when they are busy. Hopefully, she made up for her forgetfulness with lots of treats and cat nip just for you. Tell Mom to take a little time to relax like a boneless cat without any worries this weekend, she will be refreshed for the next week and all the better for it … !!!
Some of the best advice I’ve ever been given is to, “be kind to yourself”. Deb, we’ve all been there….I’m there more times than not these days. We just have to remember that we are human (yes, women are human too) NOT super human…and can only do so much in a days time. Zoey will forgive you, as will Dan and the other kitties that are all so very fortunate to have you in their lives. Deep breath…and yes, Calgon, take me away!!
Humans need to be more like us cats…and not worry about anything…except when dinner is being served. 🙂
Happy Birthday, Sweet Zoey! I just LOVE that graphic! Sweet Tsunami just turned 8!
And congrats on the book – love the photo – can’t wait to get my copy! 🙂
Have a purr-fect, paw-some week!
Put mom second, third, fourth and fifths that!!! She’s so worn out she catches herself just standing and starting, wondering what in the heck she should do next! Purrs that all our humans get some much needed rest!!
Belated Happy Birthday Zoey!
I hope you can get a nice relaxing stress free weekend.
We know you will get back in the swing of things. Sometimes we think that if we had more hours in the day we could manage to get further behind!
That’s my prescription these days too: long bath, wine and often a movie, less blogging and now that the snow is gone, getting my hands in the garden dirt.
Happy Birthday Zoey! That first paragraph summed up TW’s life since I have the blog. Housework, shopping, comment on blogs, try to write one, start over. No time for sleep.
Happy belated birthday, Zoey! And yes, there just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day around here, either…

While I am sorry you are going through the distractions, etc…you just made me feel better. The past two weeks there has been NOTHING but distractions, interruptions, bad news……phone calls…right when I am trying to be ahead of the game and get things done early. With you saying you are going through the same, I am thinking it is astrological! xoxo
