Recapturing my Youth

I don’t know exactly when it happened. Maybe it’s the magic “Five-O” age, maybe it’s because I am going to a baby shower this weekend for my dear friend Madalina who is old enough to be my daughter, who is now having daughter’s of her own (she’s expecting twins), but I have been feeling a bit out of sorts lately coming to grips with the fact that I am no longer young. Wrinkles, sagging, aches, and pains… I have them all and despite all the miracle claims the commercials on TV make, there is no product in the world that makes all that magically disappear! So, rather than a long post bemoaning my fate, I felt nostalgic for some youth and thought I would just simply post a picture of one of Zee and Zoey’s kittens that was taken at 6 weeks of age – besides newborn babies, there is absolutely nothing more precious in the world than a sweet little kitten! I know this picture gave me my smile for the day and I hope it brightens your day as well! As far as who this kitten is… well… your guess is as good as mine! We found it virtually impossible to figure out who was who at this age, so this picture is either of Mia, Peanut, Rolz, or Zeuss!

  1. I’m with ya girlfriend but remember…age is just a NUMBER!!! It isn’t an indication of anything and in my opinion you are still gorgeous!

    • Deb says:

🙂 I hear ya Caren! My mind comprehends what you are saying – it’s my aching body that is indicating otherwise! But, as always, thanks for the compliment…

Never regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many. There is always a lot to be thankful for, if you take the time to look. For example, I’m sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don’t hurt. Anyway, I think that’s a picture of Zeuss Catt. (And by the way, as I can personally attest to, you are strikingly more beautiful in person than your blog picture even begins to hint at!) xxxooo

    • Deb says:

Well Dan, thankfully there is no bias here! I love you too and it is your love that keeps me young at heart and in spirit… I am always thankful and grateful – as you know, I am the one who coined the phrase “embrace the ordinary in your life and dare to make it extraordinary!” 🙂

My dear Deb, you are my personal hero for looking & being fabulous at 50, I hope I will look at least half as good as you do!

    • Deb says:

Madalina: you are so beautiful, both inside and out, that it would be impossible for you to be anything but fabulous, regardless of what age you are!
