Caturday Adventures – Look Who’s Come a Knocking…

Because we have such nice weather all year round, we never have a shortage of guests dropping by the house to visit the Zee and Zoey gang. Here is just a typical day in paradise…

Yeah, I'm looking at you.... can Zee come out and play? Oh, and bring some peanuts too, and by that, I don't mean your cat, Peanut...

Wordless Wednesday – From The Outside Looking In…

Over the years, Dan has taken literally hundreds of stunning pictures of the cats – all of them so beautiful that it would be impossible to pick a favorite. Each time that I think he can’t possibly outdo himself, he proves me wrong with something so amazing that it takes my breath away.

In a moment captured in time, Dan photographed the cats from our backyard, as they were inside looking out the window. Because they were looking at some sort of wildlife, they were perfectly still and completely transfixed on the scene before them, absolutely oblivious to Dan and the camera. This allowed all of them to have their eyes completely open in full, wide-eyed fascination. But what really made the photo, was the effect that occurred because of the screen in the window. The photo literally looks like some days gone by oil painting that the artist Rembrandt would have created. I can just picture driving through the mountains in some small town in the New England area and stopping the car to poke around at one of those charming antique stores that are over-stuffed with treasures of some past life. I picture a painting like this to be in a shop like that. I know I can’t pick a favorite, but this sure would be at the top of my list…

Just What Does 5000 Books Look Like?

Editor’s Note: Today’s Tuesday Teaser video will be postponed until next week in lieu of this breaking news story…

In the world of independent self-publishing, there are numerous ways an author can manage the inventory and shipping of a book. To name a few – one can elect to Print on Demand or ship trough a warehouse and distribution fulfillment center. Some books are strictly electronic in format and some are sold directly through Amazon. Then there are those that take on the task from start to finish in the old fashioned brick and motor method, called putting your inventory in your spare bedroom or garage and packing and shipping them yourself with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears as daily trips are made to the post office. Chris and myself, SeaWorld, 2011

Editors Note:  Ever since I have started Zee & Zoey’s blog, I have encouraged friends and family members to guest host. My Mom, Dan, Madalina (my friend and graphic designer of all things Zee/Zoey related), and my step-daughter, Crystal, have all posted. Now, it gives me great pleasure to present a post from my oldest son, Chris. The post came as a surprise birthday gift to me  last week and was completely unsolicited. I read it with great interest and soon realized that the cat blogging world is not always filled with cutesy little stories of fluffy kittens scampering off to their next adventure. Cat stories range from happy, to sad, to heroic, to inspirational, to humorus and everything in-between. And then sometimes a cat writes its own story with its own destiny in mind as you will soon find out. Chris did not know at the time of this part of his life, that I would become an author and have a blog about cats, so the images in this post are photo depictions only and do not represent the actual cat or its actual surroundings.
