Review of The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey by Carolyn and Austin of CATachresis

Austin and his buddy, Tigger

I absolutely love everything about the blog, CATachresis. Carolyn, the human author of the blog, is British and her dry wit and keen sense of humor ranks her at the top of my list as favorite blogs to visit. Her cat, Austin, is a handsome tuxedo of mixed lineage and his bored take on his own blog always leaves me in stitches. He constantly has Carolyn in one predicament after another looking after him, and he just does not seem to care when he is ruffling her feathers!

When she offered to review The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey for me, I was instantly intrigued, as I wondered what brilliant new words and catch phrases I would learn from her this time! Well, here it is – read it for yourself as Carolyn and Austin share their views on the book! Click here for review.

Lessons Learned

Crocheting with my beautiful Zoey on my outstretched legs

If there is any one more beloved in the cat blogosphere than Mr. Puddy, I would be quite surprised. I do not think there is a single person in my circle of human and feline friends who does not know who this handsome tuxedo kitty is. So, when I stopped by his blog the other day, I was quite taken aback and moved by the very courageous and honest post he did about his human Mom and her addiction to the computer that was affecting him adversely. Reflections From a Fat, Lazy Cat on a Couch – Caturday Edition

Hi All! It’s Harley here with another rendition of “Reflections From a Fat, Lazy Cat on a Couch.” I can’t help but notice my other cat-mates get themselves in a bit of a tizzy when they see a bird outside our living room window. Since the female human is obsessed with feeding them, these birds are pretty much within eyesight 24/7 and no longer a rare and random sighting.

Don’t they get it by now? The birds are OUTSIDE and we are INSIDE. Yawn… I can just as easily see them from my comfortable spot on the couch and I’m not about to get up just to act like a possessed lunatic with my tail twitching like a propeller thinking I am actually going to catch one of these things. Not to mention, I realize its instinct and all for us cats, but let’s get real folks. The human slave feeds us EVERY SINGLE DAY. It’s not like we need to catch our food for survival. Seriously, I might be lazy, but I’m not stupid…

Well, that’s enough energy exerted for the time being. I’m back to doing what us cats really do best…nap. Pleasant dreams until next time…
