Well, after a week of  mystery and mayhem, Zee and Zoey FINALLY unveil what they’ve been up too! It has dawned on them that we are literally months away from electing, gasp, a HUMAN into office!! So, without asking anyone’s permission, they took matters into their own paws and decided it was imperative a cat officially be put in charge before this debacle occurs. But, in true cat style, the national office was not enough. They wanted to RULE THE WORLD and that is how this contest was born and how I became involved (mostly because I can type). We decided, what a better way to have some fun at the expense of politicians than to have a contest that goes bonkers off the deep end with humor, education, and AMAZING PRIZES instead of mudslinging and slanderous campaigning!

In a nutshell, six capable cats will be campaigning against not only one another to rule the world, but for a rescue of their choice. If they win, they get to rule the world for a whole year and their rescue gets a well-deserved and incredible prize package from some very generous sponsors. To sweeten the deal, the sponsors have contributed to a grand prize package for one lucky reader and six runner-up prize winners!!! Holy Mackerel and Tuna!!

Well, after a week long mystery, the cat is finally out of the bag. Zee and Zoey have come clean and admitted that something is up, and that it’s billboard worthy BIG! They still say they didn’t order all the cat stuff, well, except for the sunglasses, and that all the boxes are part of a master plan they have in mind. Basically, they are tired of a few things going on in this world and felt the need to step up and make some changes…

They can’t say anything just yet, but apparently cat loving humans have been sending them these boxes as part of the whole clandestine operation and they did not want to tell me about it until they were sure their mission could be successfully pulled off. I guess it involves some stuff, some other cats,  and the whole world. That’s all they would tell me. That, and oh yeah, they also told me they will  offically unveil the plans to the world this coming Tuesday, August 21st. This explains all the whispering behind my back that has been going on between the two of them and I highly suggest you set your alarms, mark your calendars, and take the day off from work. This sounds like something that has to be seen to be believed!

Wow… when I wondered yesterday what magic, trickery, and games Zee and Zoey had up their paws to help me with all the mystery cat stuff that had been shipped to my house, I had no idea they were up to real magic, trickery, and games. I can’t even begin to understand what is going on with these crafty kitties, or how or why they have conjured up what looks like other cats. Lovely, just lovely… I turn my back for one second and look what happened. All the mystery boxes that nobody seems to know anything about that I was going to return, have been OPENED by the cats and they have made a HUGE mess! Not to mention, they have been using my scissors again which I have told them over and over, they are not allowed to do…

They’re not even bothering to deny it at this point and are giving me the argument that they are cats, these are boxes, therefore they must be opened and jumped into. The need to climb in a box is a natural born instinct… Duh, and you call yourself an educated cat blogger, they seem to imply…

The ridiculous thing, they don’t even care what’s in the box. They have flung everything out onto the floor, just so they can do their “don’t I look cute sitting in an empty box thing.” (Yes)

Well, the damage is done. Now I have to keep the stuff and I am completely stressed out. It looks like nothing but cat items, which my spoiled cats need NONE of, so now I have to rack my brain to figure out what to do with it all – I’m claustrophobic enough as it is and I can barely get to my computer climbing over all this paraphernalia.

The cats are just staring at me with a bored look and are telling me to take a “chill pill.” Zee and Zoey claim that they will figure something out and take care of everything for me. Oh great, I feel so reassured now…  I can only imagine what trickery and magic they have up their little paws…
