Rain, rain go away… Us kitties are missing the sunshine, so please come again some other day…

A lot of the country is experiencing record heat waves, but for us in South Florida, it is the everyday occurrence of rain. And not just rain, but the rain of perpetually dark days that begin early in the morning, cloaking the rush hour drive to work in a veil of gloom and doom that continues on into the rush hour drive home at night and starts all over again the next day. The plants and lakes appreciate the downfall, but after awhile it can wear on your nerves. Even us easy going kitties can feel the effects, after all, we do our best napping in a warm and wonderful sun puddle. Ahh… summer… glorious, endless days of sun beams for a cat to delight in! What a better quote than this one by William Lyon Phelps to suit Rolz as his body just appears to melt on the floor as if one with the sun! As I always say, even for one brief hour, how wonderful would it be to be a cat to experience such pure and uncluttered bliss!

William Lyon Phelps (1865  –  1943) was an American author, critic and scholar who taught the first American university course on the modern novel.
