Happy 6th Birthday to Mia, Peanut, Rolz, and Zeuss Catt!

bd6-2015-001Really??!! Mia, Peanut, and Rolz are six today? How the heck did that happen? Didn’t they just have their 5th birthday a few months ago? That’s what it sure seems like. Wow… time just keeps flying by and there’s not a darn thing I can do about it!
Since I can’t slow time down, I guess we might as well celebrate the occasion, so please help me wish my darling babies a happy 6th (and a happy 6th to Zeuss Catt too, who lives in Boston with his human family). I don’t have a crazy day planned for them, but I did happen to find this amazing birthday cake for cats made with tuna, cheese, eggs, and shrimp. Click here for the link for the recipe and I think I might just make it for them this weekend as a belated gift.

Mmmm…. If I were a cat, I think would definitely love a piece of tuna, cheese, egg, and shrimp cake! Photo and recipe from the blog, Blunder Construction, a blog about food and cats that I stumbled upon.

It’s been a great six years my sweet kitties. Each and every one of you brings a unique and special joy in my life and I’m hoping for many, many more. Have a great day everyone and enjoy these pictures of the gang way-back when to present day.

As a side note, if you missed my post on Saturday for Spay/Neuter Awareness Month, I hope you’ll take the time to check it out. I present a provocative case in which I ask you to pretend for a moment you are not part of the cat world and don’t deliberately seek out cat websites, blogs, and other cat related venues. Based on mainstream TV, radio, etc. would you know about the staggering numbers of cats on the streets and in shelters and the importance of spay/neuter? I would love to hear your comments – click here for the link.

  1. Sorry, I missed the big day and it must have been fab with that kitty cake. 6 months to 6 years passes in a blink as will the next 6, so all we can is savor every moment.

  2. So sorry we missed the big Now We Are Six Day! Coco turned six in August, and Manhattan and Valentina will turn six this year, so it’s a big number here at the Warehouse apartment!
Z-Girl remembers reading about the arrival of you three babies in the Zee and Zoey book, so it’s an honor to drop by a few days late to wish you each a continued happy birthday! Lots of love and tuna treats, The Squeedunk Cats
