Yes… once again summer is upon us which means lots of extra shedding from our kitties… if only there were a pet hair solution for them…

Give them access to lots of fresh, cool water and make sure they are not sitting outside in the sweltering sun for any extended period of time – heat stroke is very common in animals and they rely on us to take their health needs into consideration. Be aware as well that animals have fur for a reason – while the FURminator can help with the grooming process, it is not a good idea to unnaturally shave a pet to keep them cooler and let them go outdoors – they can get sunburns too, so the best advice is to keep them indoors where the temperatures are cooler.

I have six kitties and they all love to be brushed. Like yours, once I start brushing one, the others start circling like sharks waiting for their turn. Our medium haired calico, Diva, needs it the most. 20 year old Rainbow, a short haired calico, needs some help because she has arthritis and has a harder time keeping up. The others, Purrdell, Poohpeek, Brownie and Angel all wait in line impatiently!

One of my dogs and my cat both shed like crazy! My sheets go from lavebder to black in one night lol. I would use the Furminator ALL the time! I think my cat is worse, so the kitty de-shed tool would be my top choice 🙂
