Wordless Wednesday – A Tisket, A Tasket, A Kitty Cat in a Basket!

HEY!! HEY!! I’m talking to you Peanut!! Wake up!

Ugg…. Clearly I was busy napping, annoying human Mom, but fine, I’ll go and see if your camera has arrived back from BlogPaws yet. Geez… it wasn’t my fault you left it there in a rush, but since I’m such a good girl, I’ll go check.

Okay… I’m back! It’s not here yet – if you would have just looked at the UPS tracking number that Caren from Cat Chat* sent you, you would see it is scheduled to arrive this AFTERNOON… She promised you would get it and she would never let you down!

Now, where was I? Ahh… back to my basket… sweet dreams all!

*For those of you who don’t know, human Mom accidently left her camera at BlogPaws as she left the conference early to avoid being stranded due to hurricane Irene. Caren of Cat Chat was kind enough to pick it up and send it back to our scatter-brained Mom!

Mancat Monday – King of the Castle

Thanks to Hurricane Irene, I had to leave BlogPaws sooner than I anticipated. So much sooner, that I literally had minutes to pack and catch an early flight home. Due to my completely flustered state of mind, I left my camera at the hotel with all of my pictures for upcoming posts detailing the event. So much for being timely…

Zee has kindly agreed to be my plan “B” until my camera arrives (Caren Gittleman of Cat Chat was kind enough to pick up my camera for me and is mailing it to me) and has graciously allowed me to use a picture of him for Mancat Monday. Okay, I’m completely stretching the truth here…. he has no idea I am using this picture and I did not ask for his permission at all…

Anyhow, lets just roll with the punches and proceed as if all is normal! Happy Monday! Without further ado:

There is no doubt in our house that Zee is the King of the Castle and our favorite Monday Mancat. Showing he means business, Zee is sitting quite regally inside the top tier of his five-story kitty castle condo to reign over his kingdom. When you’re King of the Castle, the best vertical space in the house is always reserved for you!

See you all later this week after I get my camera with my take on the BlogPaws Conference!

It’s Wordless Wednesday – Do You Know Where Your Kitties Are?

Left to Right - Mia, Rolz, and Peanut

Siblings Mia, Rolz, and Peanut have been together since birth. With the exception of an occasional tiff, these three amigo’s are the best of friends and you can be certain if you can find one, the other’s are close by!

Mancat Monday – A Mancat and His Man Shoes

Make no mistake, this is one man cat, Zee, standing next to some really big man shoes!!! Just disregard the heels in the background – we can save those for Feline Female Friday. Got it?

Zee typically wanders into our walk-in closet when we are putting away laundry and then we accidentally shut him in. Rather than making a big fuss about it by meowing loudly and scratching the wood doors with his sharp claws like Zoey would do, he usually stays in the closet until we figure out he is missing and open it again. While he is a Mancat, he is quite the gentleman and rather polite about the predicaments he finds himself in…

Cat Connection – The Looking Glass Mirror That is Hemingway House…

Standing in front of the Hemingway House before we enter for the tour

As you know, I was on vacation recently with my family and one of the places we went to visit was the Hemingway House in Key West. Clearly, being the cat lover I am, this was really no surprise. But, what can one say about the Hemingway House or Hemingway that hasn’t already been said? After all, he’s been dead since 1961 and is  firmly entrenched in the pages of history. The house remains a beloved tourist attraction in the Keys and the Hemingway cats are legendary. Nobel Prize writing author (Old Man and the Sea), cat lover, notorious drinker, and fisherman are all images that come to mind when I think of this literary talent. Now, upon further inspection, I have come to the conclusion that Ernie and I are long lost relatives. The evidence seems all but indisputable, but I will let you be the judge… Read more
