Like, love, hate, or indifferent – the recent changes facebook has been making have given me reason to pause and think through the eyes of my cats. It dawned on me, these creatures have been successfully social networking with complete sophistication and effectiveness for centuries with no interference or need to change their platform at all.

Point in case – In this first picture, you will see Zoey in “status mode.” She is preparing to comment that an event is about to occur and that everyone on her “friends list” should be on alert for an update.

With the book release a month away (I can’t believe I am actually saying that), Dan and I thought it would be fun to share something with you for the next month, which is a series of video posts that we aptly call  “Tuesday Teasers.” Using the concept of a movie trailer, each Tuesday we will release a new mini video production that focuses on our feline gang and the impending book! This first video is called “The Love Story” and all you need to do is watch it to see what I mean!! Enjoy and see you next Tuesday!!

Our human thinks she is a cat, but we know she is really not. The only reason we know, is because she does not nap all day long. She’s kind of an uptight type of lady that works all day and night long, barely taking time to come up for air and she seems a bit stressed out and edgy all the time. Despite that, we know she loves us kitties very much, and since it is her birthday, we are going to let her be a cat for the day as our gift to her!!

In cat years, she would be old enough to be found roaming the earth from the Pleistocene Era along with our ancestors, the saber tooth tiger, and we wouldn’t even dream of putting candles on a cake at this stage of her life, for fear we would set the fire alarm off!

Anyhow, Happy Birthday Human Mom!! We love you very much and hope you have a purr-fect day!!

I don’t know about you all, but I have always wanted to be a cat at one time or another and am always fascinated by this extraordinary creature.  While it is impossible for us humans to be a cat, I think this video is as close as we can come to that experience and feeling. For our cats, they live for Saturday mornings… those blessed few minutes when we release them from the confines of our house, to the amazement of the great outdoors. Granted, the cats are completely supervised and the yard is safely enclosed with a tall and cat-proof fence, but they don’t know that…. To them, our backyard is the embodiment of what it means to instinctively be a cat. Just watch this video and you can literally feel every muscle, every step, and every move of these cats as they prowl in what they perceive as their natural habitat. It is truly spectacular to watch and I really hope you enjoy what we were able to capture and share with you! Kudos again to Dan for another production superbly done!!

Since it’s Wordless Wednesday, I’ll try to keep it to a minimum, but just wanted to say “Happy First Anniversary Blog!!” Exactly one year ago today, Zee & Zoey’s Chronicle Connection was released to the world (or, at the very least, to a handful of my friends and family that actually stopped by to check the blog out). Comments were few and far between and it seemed the only strong connections I was making, was with the crickets in the background that appeared to be my only readership! Well, what a difference a year makes…Not only has this blog expanded and taken me to directions I never would have imagined, it also has allowed me to make so many wonderful new feline and human friends who I absolutely treasure and adore. The number of cat lovers is astounding and I cannot imagine a better group of people to be a part of. Read more
