How Cats Interpret the Days of the Week
The Happy Day’s/Leave it to Beaver world where dad would go off to work and mom would stay at home to raise the kids and keep the house in order are long gone. Our lives are no longer dictated by traditional male/female roles and neither is our work schedule. 9 to 5 is a time frame that applies to some people in a work sense, but for many more, they work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
So, when we say TGIF in reference to looking forward to a Saturday and Sunday weekend, that phrase doesn’t really apply to everyone anymore – one person’s Friday could be another person’s Tuesday and that is why cats are so brilliant. Seriously, they truly are so much more ahead of us in the intelligence curve because when you look at their behavior, it seems they have known all along that every day could be the opportunity for a TGIF moment for someone and that is why they have perfected the art of relaxation pretty much 24/7.
In honor of that mindset, please allow my cats to demonstrate that point with a more modern approach to interpreting the days of the week (and please click images to enlarge): Read more
