Breaking News! Cat Desperate for Internet Fame and Desire for a Picture of Himself to go Viral Declares Hunger Strike Until it Happens!
With the onset of rising household name cat stardom and popularity as a result of the Internet, Kizmet the Kitten is no longer satisfied with the paltry couple dozen likes or so each of his pictures generates on facebook and attempts to become the next Keyboard, Grumpy, or Nyan Cat by going on a hunger strike until this picture of him looking adorable next to a computer keyboard goes viral.
In what is probably the most shocking development the Zee/Zoey household has seen since the time aloof Rolz actually let his human’s pet him and pick him up without squirming (this may actually be pure speculation and wishful thinking and not confirmed fact), Kizmet has declared he will remain reclined out next to his human’s computer keyboard in an adorable pose for as long as it takes without food while waiting for his picture to go viral, or until it is time for dinner. Whichever comes first.
Kizmet is adamant and dedicated to his cause. As he puts it, “I’m just as cute as those other famous cats are and what’s the big deal with playing a keyboard or looking grumpy?” He continues, “I catch paper balls all the time and bring them back to my humans, plus I have a very endearing habit where I expose my belly, which is off the charts adorable. How much more does a cat have to do to prove they deserve to go viral?” “Not to mention, what’s up with Nyan Cat?” “He’s a flying cartoon cat with a body made out of a cherry Pop-Tart. Really? My body girth looks like an over sized loaf of rye bread, yet that doesn’t seem to catch anyone’s attention.”
As imagined, Kizmet’s boldness and desperate cry for attention has caused quite a stir with his other feline housemates who have allowed me to question them as to what they think of this developing situation:
Zee and Zoey remain respectfully unaware of the unfolding developments with Kizmet and quite frankly, even if they were aware, would still not care…
This appears to be Mia, Peanut, and Rolz but honestly I can’t tell them apart and feel it’s best I just let them nap. No point in waking them up for something so unsettling as a campaign by Kizmet to go viral because again, like Zee and Zoey, quite frankly they won’t care…
Jazz is one of those kitties from the older generation and he doesn’t even know what the Internet is… No reason to wake him to discuss something about cats being grumpy. He lives with seven other cats and has seen all of them grumpy at one point or another…
Harley says, “Who’s Kizmet?” “When did we get another cat?”
Well, there you have it. You saw it for yourself just how much Kizmet’s plea for fame has affected the other cats. And as this ordeal has dragged on for what seems like an hour, but has actually only been eight minutes, Kizmet ends with this compelling question, “Is it time for dinner yet? I’m starting to get hungry and can’t lie here looking cute all day.”

This is too funny. Mom can’t stop smiling thinking about it. A cat hunger strike…a total oxymoron! The youngest kitty can come up with some of the silliest ideas just to get attention. Kizmet is plenty cute or but have you noticed the viral kitties aren’t that cute. They’re odd looking like Grumpy or Lil Bub, have distinct features like Venus or are special needs like two-legged Anakin . My message is: love the fur you’re in.

Bernadette – this is the absolute truth, but yesterday when I put down his food, he did not come running for it like he normally does. I had to break it to him very gently that he had not gone viral and that he could come eat dinner… Poor dear… As far as the siblings, they continued not to notice, or to care…
