Okay… so I’m not really going fishing… I’m going to BlogPaws and the Cat Writers’ Association conference!

Wow…after the months, weeks, and days of preparation, it’s finally time to be leaving for the BlogPaws/Cat Writers’ Association conference! I’ll be gone from Wednesday to Sunday – the longest I’ve ever been away from Dan and my kitties! Even though I know I’m going to have a blast at the conference and time is going to fly by, I’m still going to miss them like crazy…

Being an ambassador this year, my plate is going to be full – from visiting all the brands, sponsors, and speakers so I can share the buzz with everyone via social media (use #BlogPaws to follow the fun) to helping anyone who might have questions, it will be nonstop activity. There will be press conferences, event sponsored meals, the Cat Lounge as sponsored by Kate Benjamin of Hauspanther, and so much more!

Sorry guys… I wish I could take you, but it’s just not possible! But I promise I’ll be home before you know it… and with lots of kitty swag too!

Friday night will be the Cat Writers’ Association awards banquet and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m in contention for several awards and I also have a special announcement I’ll be sharing about the CWA when I get back home. Saturday will be the  BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Social Media awards and in-between all of that will be incredible activities to participate in, amazing seminars to attend, and the opportunity to bond with my fellow animal loving friends (many of which will be bringing their pets)!

I could go on and on, but honestly, I have to get back to packing. When you’re the leopard lady, you can’t just throw stuff into a leopard printed suitcase (thanks to my step-daughter, Crystal, I got leopard luggage for Christmas). I hope you all have a wonderful week – I’ll be back soon with the latest and greatest from Phoenix and the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa. Oh, and as a special treat, since I’ve worked so hard this year and I am staying at a resort, I’m actually treating myself to a spa experience on Wednesday before the activities begin!! I’ll be rooming with Christine Michaels of Riverfront Cats and we’re going to spend a few hours together getting pampered with a massage and pedicure!!
