BlogPaws – Present and Past

Yeah, I get it, double take, right? Just who is this impostor in my house? Is it really true that I have clothes that are not leopard inspired? Ugg… I’m so embarassed to be seen in public like this!
When I say BlogPaws, Present and Past, what I really mean is present… as in lots and lots of presents!!! As you all know by now, my camera has had its own BlogPaws journey and has finally found its way home a couple of days ago thanks to Caren Gittleman of Cat Chat with Caren and Cody who was kind enough to send it to me. Well, when I opened the box, was I ever in for a BIG surprise!
Not only did Caren take the time to wrap my camera in industrial strength packing tape and bubble wrap to ensure its safe arrival, but she jammed the box to the rim with swag for the kitties!! Lots and lots of swag to the point I thought I was in the midst of a Petsmart holiday sale! Now mind you, my cats are already spoiled with kitty toys of every shape, make, and style you can imagine. Then, when I came home from BlogPaws last week and dumped all the cat loot I accumulated on the floor, their toy inventory became even more superfluous. But what Caren and Cody sent, wow, it just sent my kitty cats off the deep end with joy!!!

Lots and lots of loot! Peanut, of course, is ignoring the toys and playing with a packing peanut! Must be the same name thing…
All of these gifts were lovingly hand-picked by Caren and Cody themselves. Cody, in particular, was very thoughtful in his choices – he sent a beautiful floral Snouse (Mousey Weiner Link) to Mia because he knew how much this Diva Princess kitty would love this pretty toy! For Zee, he sent a super-duper awesome Kong toy (it looks like some sort of weird scarecrow martian) that he just knew he would love! Cody – since you are a cat and you think like a cat, your gift choices could not have been more purr-fect and it was so extra special sweet of you to give away some of your own favorite toys just to make my kitties happy! As you can see from the pictures, Mia did not want to share HER toy with her bully brother Rolz who kept trying to steal it from her and Zee was clearly in another world with his special toy! Sad to say Cody, my cats don’t have the manners or thoughtfulness you do – sharing is not something they like to do!

You can see that Mia to the right, is trying to take HER toy back from her mean brother Rolz! Just like human siblings, the kittens like to torture one another! Mr. Jazz is overseeing the commotion and Zee is claiming his Kong toy!
We are all so appreciative of Caren and Cody’s kindness and the gifts were a big hit, but, for me, the nicest gift was the card Caren sent me with a beautiful handwritten note inside – believe it or not, one of the cats on the card was the spitting image of my sweet Peanut!!
Thank you again Caren and Cody – you guys rock!!! xoxoxo
Oh, and yes, now I can finally do a post on the BlogPaws event! I guess better late than never! See you in a couple days with that!
Wow, it’s like summer Christmas for the gang! Caren is such a thoughtful person – glad she was able to bring a smile to your whole gang.
MOL Vicky – as you can only well imagine in our house of seven VERY SPOILED furbabies, EVERY DAY is Christmas to them!!! And yes, Caren is a sweetheart!
Caren sure is a sweetheart. How kind and thoughtful! Is that Zee with that manic look in his eye? Looks like he’s away with the fairies already lol.
Looking forward to the BP post xox
That’s so funny Carol!! Yes, that is our manic Zee! He really was possessed by that toy! I did mention that I thought it looked like a martian…. hmmm…. beam me up Scottie!!
This is what happens when we share the love. Love everything about this: the story, the kindness, the cats. Have a purrfect long weekend.
Layla – It really is amazing what I have been feeling in my heart the past week due to being at BlogPaws, then continuing to forge friendships with people after the fact (whether you attended or not). We are such a wonderful group of special people and the warmth of who we are cannot compare to anything else I know. The kindness is real and I appreciate that you can recongnize and see that! You have a great weekend as well!!
can you see me SMILING from here?????? I actually have tears in my eyes!!
You have given me such immense JOY watching your babies play with their presents (it is NICE to see APPRECIATIVE KITTIES, not like my Cody! lol)
you know right off the bat I noticed you weren’t clad in leopard? I thought maybe you weren’t feeling well! (kidding!!)
Seriously Deb it was my pleasure to mail you the camera (you would have done the SAME!) and how could I mail something to your house knowing there are SEVEN babies there that I just could never ignore!
Cody wanted to share some of his toys and make your kitties happy, he has to share, he can’t keep everything himself!
You are such a doll to even post this…I wanted to jump through the computer and play on the floor with your clan. What a blast that would be!!!!
You know you mean the WORLD to me and don’t EVER forget that!
Thank you for this most touching, fun, beautiful and brilliant post!
Caren – as you know, I adore you to the ends of the earth and everything you do for me is filled overboard with love and joy!! Thank you so much for being my friend and I am so glad you enjoyed the post. Special kisses to Cody who is such a good boy to share his toys with us!! xoxoxo
Love love love this – the story, the photos, the kindness, you, Caren! BlogPaws was absolutely the most amazing experience ever. I know the friendships that were formed online and cemented there in real life will last a lifetime.
