Feline Quotable Photo Series – It’s all in the Eyes
Who among us has not seen that intense, faraway look a cat has. Where do they go? It would seem they are miles away in thought, perhaps in some distant world filled with fluttering butterflies, hovering birds, scampering bunnies, chattering squirrels and heaven knows what else. Or perhaps it is nothing at all, but a speck of dirt on the window… With a cat, one will really never know…
Sometimes it’s VERY scary! lol Beautiful photo xox
Yes… especially with a cat of Austin’s caliber!!! 🙂
It is hard to tell where they go. Probably planning the next trouble to get into. Mine I am sure are also planning the next fun thing to do or the next meal and how soon will it be. Have a great day.
Yes Marg, trouble and food – that is always a good guess!!
I see a mix of warmth and wild when I look in my cats eyes.
I love that comment Sharon… I see wisdom too.
Hey it’s Jet here.
Mom says she thinks my feline brothers are contemplating the answers to life’s toughest questions… or, they are waiting for some attention!
Hey Jet!! Yes, could be either or… with cats you just never know!!
Looking for adventure?
Always time for adventure Layla… unless the couch is calling in the distance for a nap!
Very good quote, that can be very true. Love the picture, very beautiful. We always wonder what Duke our feline brother always looks at and what he thinks. Sometimes we wondering if he’s part dog cuz he know how to sniff out those treats. 🙂 Happy WW!

Thank you doggies from Weinerful Life! Our kitties are great sniffers too!
actually we think we DO know. I have read that cats see spirits. I used to go to psychics who always said that. Cats see spirits and that is what they are looking at 🙂
Wow Caren… that is cool!! I like that answer a lot!!!
Hi Deb!!! I remember when I first heard that I was flipped out. You know how they analyze photos that people take where all of a sudden an image appears that the photographer never saw upon taking the initial photograph? They say those are spirits.
Often times Cody (and my Angel Bobo) used to stop and just look at something that wasn’t visible to anyone…my husband (who always used to visit psychics as well) and I would look at each other and say “yep, he is communicating with someone again”) xoxo
Caren – I am certain you are right. Our cat Rolz, in particular, seems highly intuitive when it comes to spirits. There have been several times he just becomes spooked, literally like he has seen a ghost. It is a very interesting subject…
I agree with Caren about the spirits but it can be very un-nerving. We live in a fairly isolated place and sometimes Flynn will stand and stare at the door. That I don’t mind, but when he raises his hackles and starts to quietly hiss, I get very uneasy. He always seems to do it when I am home on my own. Eric just sleeps through everything.
Eric and Flynn – it is completely un-nerving. When Rolz sees whatever he sees, he is spooked for hours and it affects the demeanor of the other cats. Except maybe Harley who is like Eric!!
