I rarely do product reviews (paid or not) for an item my cats have not personally tested out, as I don’t want to be misleading about something I am not familiar with. Based on the concept, I knew my cats would love the blocks, just to sit on them alone. They come in 5 basic shapes – L, I, O, T, Z (each sold separately) and can be assembled into any number of configurations that are limited only by your imagination and the space you are putting it together for. A coffee table, a cat tree, a book shelf, a shoe nook – whatever you want for you and your cat – with a bit of ingenuity and some basic clips that hold the blocks together, the possibilities are endless. Each block is made with a durable exterior that can easily be wiped down and the interior (the part the cats will love) is made from high grade 100% natural recyclable cardboard that is purr-fect for scratching! Each block is made from 200+ sheets of paper – almost double the amount of material other brand name cat scratchers use and depending on how vigorous a scratcher your cat is, each piece can last well over a year.

My cats can’t get enough of climbing and get so excited when something new comes in the house that they can climb on, the higher the better! Of course, they would argue over who gets to sit on the top of the Katris, but eventually they would all sit on it in their turn. Democracy at its best! Thanking tagging us. Our Katris has aged well and I think of the pieces more as furniture than cardboard. And versatile. I’d stacked a few pieces in our bathroom in anticipation of at our shelter rescue’s arrival. He’d been a climber at the shelter but sadly by the time he came home was very ill. After he died, the Katris window perch became a memorial altar. It’s still there. I can’t bring myself to dismantle it just yet. Eventually, the modular pieces will have a new life and purpose. Maybe having colored covers would help.

I really like the City Collection covers! Color is fun. I think that we would want one of each shape so that we could play with different designs. My cats (Cinco and Manna) really enjoy having places to climb, play, and call their own. These blocks would be a lot of fun for the kitties!
