Caturday Cats – Mama’s Little Helpers

It’s been another long and hectic week, but luckily I have had the help of my kitties along the way. Here are the pictures to prove it:

Thursday night is always grocery shopping night at our house. Jazmine takes her self-appointed job of inspecting the bags for treats very seriously. Being that I am a vegetarian, she is clearly not impressed with my salad stuff. But please don’t fret… yes… she got her treats! How else would I be able to get on with the night if I didn’t buy kitty treats!?

Friday was tax day and I had to prepare paperwork for the accountant. I turned my back for a quick second and the cats jumped in to help out!

laundry

Mia and Rolz help me with the clean laundry. By napping on the warm clothes, it prolongs the task at hand for me – putting everything away!

ToysZee1

Zee knows how busy I am, so rather than me having to take all of the cat toys out of their storage baskets, Zee takes them out and puts them on the floor where they belong for me…

roses

The cats help me enjoy the Valentine’s flowers I got last week from my son and his partner. How do they do that? By forcing me to put them (the flowers) behind closed doors where I go and visit them on occasion since the cats insist on trying to eat them which is dangerous…

How about you? Do your cats find ways to help you out? Bless their sweet little souls… I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Happy Caturday all!

  1. Ms. Phoebe's Mum says:

My little Clovebud thoughtfully helps me to keep the snacks I enjoy in front of the TV extra fresh, for I wrap them tightly in Saran wrap/foil or put them in a Ziploc bag. Her role comes from having to do this at all, as if I do not and get distracted by a fave show (which is likely 99.9% of the time) Clove will help herself to the snack and/or try and run off with it. I’ve told her she needs to remember her manners and ASK someone first if they might share their snack, not just grab it and run. Of course she being the helpful ladycat she is, she will then remind me WHO owns/runs the house and ALL that is inside of it, including food. There’s little I can do but adore that tortie face giving me the notorious tortie stink eye!

MOL – I can just picture little Clovebud running off with your snacks! Our Jazmine is an adorable thief like that too, and she does not share either!

  2. Where to begin ? We help Mum to correct the homework of her pupils (chewing the sheets or the pencil), we help to make the bed (crawling under the sheets), we cat-iron the clean laundry, we eat every kind of flowers or plants if we can (flowers are usually put in the closed laundry room, and we don’t have plants inside), we taste human food, we shed everywhere, we walk on the keyboard and turn the computer off before she saves her work (sorry Mum !), we put our toys in her gym bag in case she needed it for her workout, and we come on her lap to make sure she’s warm enough. We’re sure we forgot one or two things… Purrs

Swiss Cats – you clearly are extremely helpful kitties and your Mum sure is lucky to have all that extra help to keep your household in tip-top shape!

  3. Ellen Pilch says:

Such helpers-you are lucky. Please visit us for a chance to win catnip toys and a mat.

  4. Do I have helpers? Goodness yes! Coco and Valentina love to help me make the bed. Coco is addicted to plastic bags so anything that comes into the house in a plastic bag is subject to inspection (YES: I am VERY careful, I do NOT allow her to chew them or crawl in them). All cardboard boxes are thoroughly tested for durability prior to opening and then examined once opened. If I bring a bed to the kitchen area, Coco will monitor while I bake cookies.
Lulu will gladly shred any piece of paper I leave in her path. Valentina likes to sit beside my laptop when I work, Manhattan likes to walk across the keyboard to help me type.
Valentina likes to follow the vacuum cleaner. Coco tests out all clean, warm laundry. Bessie reminds me that it’s feeding time in the morning with a gentle purring sound and a snuggle on the face or beside my pillow.
And the FBI (Feline Bureau of Investigation) is on hand whenever a suitcase comes out for packing or returns for unpacking. Coco especially likes to be sure there is ample fur on whatever outfits I’ve put inside.
What would I do without my sweet helpers?

  5. Flynn says:

You are lucky to have so many willing helpers. Those roses are a gorgeous colour.

  6. We love to help out…like with the laundry and the making of the bed. But for some reason the mom never seems to appreciate it.

  7. mariodacat says:

Yes, you are good helpers. I help M too and D. They say I’m a big help and they wouldn’t know how to get the work done without me.

  10. Our gang works 24/7 in the muse dept.

  11. meowmeowmans says:

Such great little helpers you are, kitties! Jazmine — if Moosey was there, he would say the salad stuff IS the best kitty treat ever. For whatever reason, he loves lettuce! 😀

Hugs and headbonks to you all!
