Hello Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and sorry for having a Halloween post up for so long! I am dreadfully behind in my blogging and promise once I get settled in that I will put together a nice post with lots of great pictures to recap the Cat Writers’ Conference. It was an incredible event and I’ve got wonderful news to share, but right now my brain feels a bit like jello…

Anyhow, not all is lost… I have a super fun, exclusive post that I did for Catster that I am thrilled to share with you that delves into the subject of weird cat habits… Intrigued? You should be. I know your cat has weird habits… don’t they all? And my little Mia has a habit so bizarre that it just has to been seen to be believed. Click here to visit Catster to see for yourself and I’ll be back soon!

Sweet-and-shy-Mia

Just look at this darling face… what weird habit could Mia possibly have?

  3. OMC that was too funny!!!! I have never, ever heard (or seen) a cat do ANYTHING so creative! That was a true gem! Priceless! The photos too, what a character Mia is!

  4. Carolyn says:

That was a brilliantly written article! And you even got pictures!!!! So very funny! You really deserve your CWA award. Well done and keep writing 🙂

BTW Austin has also changed in the last year with regard to his habits and is becoming even more vocal (if that were possible!) I think he believes I should have lessons in “Austinspeak” so he doesn’t have to shout quite so loud!

    • Deb says:

I don’t know about brilliant, Carolyn, but thank you for the compliment! What is most amazing is that I was able to get pictures… not the usual quality ones people come to expect on this blog, but I love the pictures nonetheless!!

Thank you for your support on my award and I love knowing that Austin’s vocal habits have changed… he is definitely a cat with something to say! xoxo

  5. Flynn says:

That is so funny! Eric had a fascination with my hair after I had washed it and I had to wait while he licked and chewed it. Sometimes he got too carried away and started nibbling my scalp. OUCH!
Flynn only has to hear me heading for the bathroom and he has to get there before me. We have a big corner bath and he walks around the edge while I get comfortable on the throne, then he has to get in my trousers and curls up for a nap. He gets most annoyed if I tell him I have work to do. I have even carefully got out of my trousers and put a different pair on so he can continue his nap.

    • Deb says:

That is so funny, Flynn! Zee eats my hair too…. very weird when all of a sudden he decided to bite into my scalp! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that you will put on different trousers so as not to disturb Flynn… that is the right thing to do!

  6. Kitties Blue says:

We can’t imagine what it might be so will check it out. The weirdest habit any of our cats has ever had was drinking the brine from green olives, especially the ones stuffed with Garlic. That was our blue-eyed angel, Madison. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  7. I just have one thing to say: Mia, you are a genius 😉

  8. Wow I have never seen a cat do a thing like that in my life!!! Mia is so adorable!

  9. Rhonda Jones says:

My beloved cat Pecheecho would hump my teddy bear for hours at a time! It was a habit he developed before he was neutered but then he realized that myself and my company would laugh when he did it, so it became an attention seeking activity. He would do it when he felt that I’d been on the phone too long or when ny company overstayed their welcome and he wanted me to himself. I still have his bear in a corner, near the pretty container that contains his ashes. My new kitty, Jasmine, loves to place all of her cat toys in my bed. I work an evening shift, so when I come home at midnight, I come home to a bed filled with toy mice and string.
I guess she’s trying to be “considerate” so that i wont have to search for her toys myself. Instead, they are all right there, for easy access play time. LOL, just what i feel like doing at midnight after Ive worked an 8-10 hour shift!

Now I think that Rumpy chewing the handle of the plunger is not so bad.
