Wordless Wednesday – Double and Triple Vision!

We have eight cats in total, three of which are related by birth – Mia, Peanut, and Rolz. Yet sometimes our cats are so similar, related or not, that you would think we had trick mirrors in the house! I’ll let the pictures be the proof and let you be the judge!

This is Rolz, Mia, and Peanut at about 12 weeks of age – it was virtually impossible to tell them apart when they were little!

Even though Zee is the Papa of Mia, Peanut, and Rolz, Kizmet is such the spitting image of him, that you would think he was Zee’s kitten and not a rescue!! Notice the regal extended paw they both have!

Here is another shot of Kizmet and Zee – I just love the wide eyed look they share!

Zoey is the Mama of Mia, Peanut, and Rolz. Here she is with Mia who is the spitting image of her!

Kizmet looks more like the combination of Zee and Zoey than Mia, Peanut, and Rolz do! Here he is relaxing with his new brother, Rolz.

Who can resist a cat in a box? Kizmet and Peanut are just adorable as they pose for the camera!

Can you tell which of the siblings these are?

The beautiful colors of the cats, pillows, and afghan are so complimentary, that you would think all of these kitties came from the same litter!! Seen here is Mama Zoey, our rescue Harley, and Zoey’s daughter, Mia.

Mirror image – Zoey and Rolz.

Taking a break from all-day napping, seen here is Rolz on the left and Jazz on the right defending the world from evil cat toys!

P.S. For those of you wondering, the answer to the question is Mia and Rolz!

  1. just gorgeous!! We don’t see Jazz often and I am happy that we are today! Love many of the “mirror” images, beautiful!

    • Deb says:

Caren – Jazz is such an elusive Mancat. He prefers to nap the majority of the day when the lighting is best for pictures and really shys away from the limelight, unlike our other felines who are huge camera hogs!!

  2. LOVED you cat-cavalcad of pictures !
Kismet and Zee sure look a lot alike 🙂

  3. sue brandes says:

    Your kitties are so beautiful.

  4. They all look so alike that we would never know who is who.
We can tell which one is Jazz though!!! 🙂

  5. Fisher says:

    So many beautiful cats!

  6. Ms. Phoebe says:

The beauty of mewz fur babies always stuns me and Mom, Auntie Deb- it’s like each time we see them it’s the very first time. They are just that awe inspiring! Mewmew!

    • Deb says:

Aww… I love how you feel like you are seeing the kitties for the very first time when I post new pictures, that is such a sweet comment, Ms. Phoebe!

  7. How DO you tell them apart?
    Purrr-fectly gorgeous photos Deb!!

    • Deb says:

MOL, Toni! Sometimes it is not easy, especially with the kittens! It’s kind of like when you have kids and you call them one long, collective name of all of them combined!! Truthfully though, they all have such unique and distinct personalities and when you get up close to them, you will see that they have special markings that make each kitty different!

  8. They are all beautiful, each & everyone of them!!!!!

  9. How do you ever tell them apart. I would be constantly calling them by the wrong names. Years ago we had three sisters but they all looked different. Though we have some sibling sets among our current eight, the only two who look alike are Giulietta and Fiona, but one is long-haired and one short. All these photos are absolutely gorgeous and show all the kitties off so beautifully.

    • Deb says:

Janet – Sometimes I do call them by the wrong names, but for the most part because I know them so well, it is easy for me to tell them apart! When the kids come to visit, they just kind of lump the kittens as being one cat and can really only recognize Jazz and Harley quickly because they look so different from the rest!! Also, our cats are EXTREMELY talkative, so each one has a very distinct meow and conversational tone which really helps!

  10. Oh my dog they are all so beautiful. I think I love that “mirror image” the best or maybe the 1st image. Well that one of the sun light is spectacular! Ok dogs never can make up their minds, so I am going to pick all of them. Yes I would enjoy chasing them all. BOL
    Happy Wagging Wednesday

    • Deb says:

MOL Carma Poodale!! That is so funny…. I was not sure where you were going with the comment, so I loved the ending even though I would have to tell you that you can’t chase my kitties!!

  11. Marg says:

Those are some great pictures of all of them. And what fun to see them. I have three black cats and it is really hard to tell them apart. We also have many tabbies too. But they don’t look so much alike like yours do.
    Have a great day.

    • Deb says:

Oh my goodness, Marg! Three black cats would be difficult to tell apart!! But how wonderful that they have a homw with you! You have a great day as well!

  12. Wendy S. says:

All of your babies are so beautiful Deb! It must be so fun to look around at every corner and see a little face and paw greeting you. Kizmet fits in perfectly!

    • Deb says:

Oh my goodness, Wendy! You are so right… it is impossible to walk past them without either petting them or saying hello! Kizmet is as happy as can be and loves his home and his family with all his little heart!

  13. I think their differences are beautifully clear to observant eyes 🙂

    • Deb says:

Oh yes, Layla. If you study them further, each of the kittens in particular has markings that are completely unique to each one of them. I always tell that to the kids, but they still get confused at holiday time! Mia has a beautiful swirl pattern on the side of her coat and a tiny, little pushed in face. Peanut has slanted eyes and a pebble like pattern on her coat. Rolz is a touch lighter than his sisters and his pattern has squiggly lines as opposed to rosettes or circles.

  14. da tabbies o trout towne says:

    • Deb says:

Hi Tabbies!! We are glad you came by and got to see the elusive Mr. Jazz, we know how much you love him!!!!!!!!! We do think that Kizmet is part Maine Coon and thanks on the afghan! I love it too and am in the process of making my newest one which matches Zoey’s beautiful coat!!

  15. Hi to all our pretty friends and to mama Deb, too! We hope all of you are having an up-tailed day. Kisses from Ateret, Livia, Abbi and Stephanie.
