Reflections From a Fat, Lazy Cat on a Couch – Caturday Edition

Hi All! It’s Harley here with another rendition of “Reflections From a Fat, Lazy Cat on a Couch.” I can’t help but notice my other cat-mates get themselves in a bit of a tizzy when they see a bird outside our living room window. Since the female human is obsessed with feeding them, these birds are pretty much within eyesight 24/7 and no longer a rare and random sighting.

Don’t they get it by now? The birds are OUTSIDE and we are INSIDE. Yawn… I can just as easily see them from my comfortable spot on the couch and I’m not about to get up just to act like a possessed lunatic with my tail twitching like a propeller thinking I am actually going to catch one of these things. Not to mention, I realize its instinct and all for us cats, but let’s get real folks. The human slave feeds us EVERY SINGLE DAY. It’s not like we need to catch our food for survival. Seriously, I might be lazy, but I’m not stupid…

Well, that’s enough energy exerted for the time being. I’m back to doing what us cats really do best…nap. Pleasant dreams until next time…

November 4, 2011 – Book Review of the Chronicles of Zee & Zoey by Ingrid King of the Conscious Cat

Ingrid & I at BlogPaws 2011 in Tysons Corner, VA

While in the scheme of life, I have actually only known Ingrid King of the Conscious Cat a short amount of time, I feel we have shared a life time of friendship. Ingrid has been so kind and supportive of both my blog, Zee and Zoey’s Chronicle Connection, as well as my book, The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey. So much so, as a matter of fact, Ingrid actually read the book in draft form before it went to print and graciously provided me with a back cover quote.

Keep in mind, when Ingrid first read the book, it was a raw version without the wonderful design aspect and stunning photos that the book is filled with. Despite that, she enjoyed the book for the story as it was, without all the embellishments. So, when I received the actual printed books, I could not wait to send  her one to touch, absorb, hold, and read. I was quite proud of my accomplishment and was so thrilled when she contacted me to let me know how much she loved the finished product!

In what is a continuing series of reviews that my book is taking in its cat blogosphere tour, please stop by the Conscious Cat today to read Ingrid’s take on the book and to enter a comment for a chance to win an autographed copy!

November 4, 2011 – Christine Michaels of Riverfront Cats Reviews The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey

I met Christine Michaels of Riverfront Cats as I have most of my new cat loving friends – through blogging. Christine is an incredible young woman who has taken it upon herself to care for a colony of feral and stray cats in the Miami Riverfront area. When I was nominated for a Petties Award for “Best Designed Blog,” she was my chosen recipient, had I won the award. While I did not win the money to help with her cause, I did win a friend for life. I admire Christine enormously and when she took time out of her busy schedule to review my book, I was honored. Her opinin  means the world to me and it is my hope that I can help her in her crusade to help educate people on the epidemic of cat overpopulation and the crucial need for spaying and neutering.

I share with you Christine’s take on my book – please take the time and come read it. She really absorbed the story from start to finish and what she took from it makes me so happy and so proud. My book is meant to inspire the reader and she really hit the nail on the head with her intrepeation! Please click here to read the post
