Local South Florida Pet Blessing Event to Benefit Family Central and Pet Rescues

For those of you that live in the South Florida area, in particular, Tamarac, please drop by to come see me at the Pet Blessing Event to be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011  from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m at the Gary B. Jones Park for People and Pups, 8101 Southgate Blvd. All dogs on a leash and any other species of domestic pet in a cage are more than welcome to attend with special pet blessings at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but it is highly encouraged that you bring a couple of canned or other non-perishable food items for both people and pets, with these goods being collected on behalf ot the Tamarac Interfaith and Community Leadership Council to benefit Family Central and local pet rescues.

Enter raffle to win this adorable plush leopard mama and baby duo!

I will be there in my usual attire – cat ears and a leopard outfit. I wish I could say that was a stretch for me, but those of you that know me, know that is pretty much how I look on any given day of the week! I will have a table set up to promote the upcoming release of my book, The Chronicles of Zee & Zoey – A Journey of the Extraordinarily Ordinary, but also to raise funds for the Pet Blessing Event. I will be raffling off an adorable plush leopard mama cat and baby as tribute to my one and only, Zoey, as well as a beautiful hand crafted floral lamp arrangement that my dear friend Phyllis is making. All proceeds that I raise will be donated to the Pet Blessing Event on behalf of Family Central and local shelthers and I really am excited to participate in such a worthy event.

Dan will be there with his camera and will be taking pictures at the event all day long. I will be sure to share some with you in my next blog post – if you are in the area and want a picture with me, please drop by – I’d love to meet some Zee/Zoey fans in person! My mother will also be attending – she is the Mayor of Tamarac and I couldn’t be prouder of her! I guess this really is a family event in all sense of the word!

So, grab a leash and your dog! I would bring Zee and Zoey, but they have an aversion to cat carriers, cars, noise, strangers, dogs, and pretty much everything else! See you soon!

Thank you guys! Wish you could be with us too… maybe one day I can plan a book signing near you and have you and Cody stop by as my guests of honor! We could coordinate it with local shelters in your area….
