Jackie’s “Too Many Words Wednesday” Guest Post and Photo Gallery Debut!

Editors Note: I have my own perceptions of my cats, but what I find most fascinating is how others perceive them. As you may be aware, last week was both happy and sad at the same time, as we had family visiting for summer vacation and also to pay respects to a dear friend that had passed away, which means that the cats also had family visiting. One such guest was Dan’s youngest daughter, Jackie, who is 14 years old and a HUGE animal lover. What did she think of the cats? Well, I am very happy to let you know exactly what she thought of them as she shares her take on the Zee/Zoey gang in her first guest post debut and she also shares her first foray into cat photography with absolutely stunning results. Take it away, Jackie!

jackieThis past week I had a visit with Deb and her feline crew and I must say it was a bit overwhelming when you come from a house whose only animal residents are a dog and a chameleon. Right off the bat, you see Kizmet in his full glory, lying on HIS counter as king.  Peanut instantly rubs against your leg wanting attention and all the other kitties just scatter!

Of all the cats, Harley has always been my little girl. She drools whenever you pet her, which I think is the most precious thing in the kitty world! In my eyes, the best gift you can give a cat is love, which brings me to our next cat, Mr. Jazz. Since my last visit last summer, his health began to deteriorate. But, because of the love from his human mom Deb, and my human dad, Dan, he is a million times better!

Harley

Zoey is the queen bee of the house and this past visit she actually let me pet her! She is the softest little Bengal you could find and the sweetest! One look at her radiant green eyes and she will pull you in! Mia and Rolz are the two I wish I could have seen more of, but I am pretty sure Mia is a little timid around new people and Rolz just likes to find the highest perch he can find!

Zoey spent much of Jackie’s visit supervising from the counter…

It was great being around all the kitties, but the most hectic part was with Zee when he met Rick for the first time. Rick is Deb’s grand dog and Zee tried to run up the wall like it was a scene straight out of a Tom and Jerry cartoon! With that, he managed to interrupt a nice dinner the family was sharing in honor of our passed friend. What a riot that was!

Thank you for letting me share some of my thoughts on the Zee/Zoey kitties on this “Too Many Words Wednesday!” I can’t wait to visit my Dad, Deb, and the kitties again for some more family time during the Christmas holidays! Now for your viewing pleasure, I would like to share some photos I took of the kitties. They were really great subjects and it was really fun getting to see their personalities through the lens of a camera. I hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for this great guest post, Jackie! I hope to see you guest posting again some time soon. On behalf of all of us, we also want to wish you an early Happy Birthday! Jackie will be turning 15 this Thursday and we can’t believe how quickly the years are going by… We hope time will slow down for you and that you enjoy each and every day to the fullest. And please stay tuned – we have a part two to this wonderful guest post series as Jackie’s older sister, Crystal, shares a special guest post of her own about her time with us and the invaluable lessons the Zee/Zoey kitties taught her this coming Caturday…

Jackie – you wrote a great post and you are quite the photographer. I hope you will consider pursuing that somewhere in your career plans in the future because you already have the “touch.”

Deb, I’ve so enjoyed meeting Dan’s girls. What a great family your married into. Thanks for letting us get to know them.
