Zee & Zoey’s Chronicle Connection Wins Pettie 2012 Award for “Best Designed Blog”
When I tuned in on Friday to watch the Petties Awards ceremony and heard my name called for Best Designed Blog, I must admit I turned into a sobbing wreck of a human being. It just hit me with such impact – two years ago when I started blogging, I just had no idea who I was, what I wanted, or where the path would lead me. I can assure you, I did not start blogging thinking of winning awards and raising money for shelters – I was naive to all of that and was just happy if I got one or two comments on my posts!
Now, the path is open to so many possibilities, all of them with the intention and joy of helping to make the world a better place for cats. I am so grateful to all of you who voted for me and for your support as I find my way. I am happy that I am able to provide you with a bit of beauty on my blog and that you appreciate the design.
I have a very talented friend who happens to be a graphic artist and she was able to translate my vision of a blog that allowed the reader to be taken on a journey of “the ordinary to the extraordinary” while reading, which is the cornerstone of the lessons my cats teach me each and every day. Appreciate the silver lining moments of life and embrace who you are as a person. I am living proof that dreams come true and that with perseverance and conviction, the ability to create change and make a difference is possible.
I am also so honored to be amongst such a talented group of peers – your dedication and skills in the blogging world are nothing less than inspiring and I congratulate all the winners and nominees. I am also so proud to be able to provide Abandoned Pet Rescue with a $1000 donation. They have been an important part of my life and I thank the Pettie team for being so generous.
Again, thank you to all. I promise to go visit Abandoned Pet Rescue as soon as I can to do a special tribute post so that you can all meet them too!
For those of you that have not seen the awards video, please check it out below!
